Knee jerk huh? Isn't it week 12? How long does he need to play like a bum to not be a knee jerk reaction? 17 for 35 180 yards 4TD's and a pick. He should have had 4-5 picks today. I know, he had 4 TD's he must be great.
Did you just blame INT on playcalling? How does that work, Sanchez sees the double cover but shotty asks him to throw? Or is shotty calling over or underthrown plays? But you can certainly give a td to the playcalling.
Regardless of whose fault the INT is, I will happily take an INT returned for a score and four TD passes from my QB every single week.
Well 4 tds are good, we can at least agree onthat? I thought he was reasonably good today, but so inaccurate it is almost funny.
Agree, today was a step forward for Sanchez. I am not too upset about ints, it is more the percentages that are worrying, eg 3rd down conversions.
I don't know if it's kneejerk, but it sure is silly. Bottom line...our back-up QB is 400 years old and has silly string for an arm. No one who isn't ridiculously reactionary calls for him to come in the game unless Sanchez is having a five interception meltdown.
I commented this on the game thread already, but that play where Sanchez threw the pick was a one man route. The backs faked a run and everyone else stayed in to block, while Holmes was the only receiver running a route. Greene probably had a delayed route called also, but he released to it after Sanchez had let go of the ball. The only possibilities of that play was either to throw it to Holmes and risk the INT, or throw it away for grounding or take a sack, both which would've also been a TO plus 2 additional points for the Bills.
I don't think it is fair to be too hard on him because of the td. It was a freak play, and he was actually almost there for a super int, but turned to shit. The drop is another story an very ill timed.
Exactly. Sanchez is on pace to throw 26 TD's and 16 Int's but the haters are acting like he is going to throw 18 TD's and 23 Int's like Ben Roethlisberger did in his third season or 22 TD's and 23 Int's like John Elway did in his third season or 11 TD's and 15 Int's like Drew Brees did in his third season or 19 TD's and 20 Int's the way Mark Brunell did in his third season or 19 TD's and 24 Int's like Brett Favre did in his third season, etc. Haters are gonna hate. Nothing to do about that.
Knee jerk as in something that has multiple threads on the topic already made, and something as stupid as putting in our 41 year old backup QB. It just makes it look like some SOJF calling out for attention. Keep the inane ramblings in the Game Thread and you won't get shit on for it.
logic like this isn't going to work with them. they're just going to reply with the 'idc he should have had a gillionXXXx more picks' statement that starts this whole conversation.
Yes, in this new TGG format this is now gospel. Sanchez is not Aaron Rodgers, so any good play he makes is redacted from final analysis.
Eagles, Falcons, Bills, Saints until a 2006 and even last year they lose to fucking Seattle (add them to this list) at home in the first round. But no one loses like the Jets if that's the only team a person watches. Fucking Jets fans are gay.
