Hell yes!!! I remember watching Nebraska games as a kid and hearing Keith Jackson call his name. HIPP WITH THE CARRY....

Lam was great at Texas, but a bust for the Jets. You forgot about his teammates
    Ham Jones and Jam Jones.

When they went to the wishbone it was Ham, Jam and Lam Jones all on the field at the same time.....

Not NFL related but The Law & Order creators name always gets me too.

Dick Wolf, so in the phonebook he'd be Wolf Dick. Lol

hahaha....I love Pat Angerer. i hate the colts but i'd buy his jersey.
    best name by far

    i also like Frostee Rucker

i bet on some crappy teams in college football a week or two ago (i think MAC conference) and one of the quarterback's name was Boo Jackson. That's not a misspelling or a nickname

You want a name like that from the annals of the NFL?

Dick Falcon of the 1920 Chicago Tigers

note- in 1920, the league was known as the American Professional Football Association; the name was changed to National Football League for the 1922 season

Actually I did not make a food list. I did a fruit one.

in addition to the fruit guys listed earlier, a food-related list would include-
    Cookie Gilchrist
    Jerry Rice
    Jack Ham
    Max Kielbasa
    Irv Eatman
Mike Salmon (would also be on the animal list)
    Chad Mustard
    Bob Celeri
    Jamaal Fudge
    Carleton Oats
    Warren Wheat
    Pat Coffee
    Bob Fry
    Wayne Capers
    John Milks

    4 pages and I don't see:

    Hank POTEAT
    Demarcus FAGGINS

    hilarious names. Hilarious.

I guess we can throw in anyone with the last name Butler. But its so common.

    Laurinaitis sounds like a disease.

Glenn Coffee just retired. Add him in as well.

Moreland officially played in the NFL whereas Flowers only played in the preseason.

So Flowers does not count in my book. Ditto the Mantooth who was in camp with the Steelers in the early 1970s.

About 20 years ago there was an NFL game here in the UK on the Atari ST with fictional names for players and the Seahawks bizarrely had a WR called Slash Monster.

For years that's stuck with me as it seemed so weird. Now I've seen this thread it no longer seems out of place!

    Dick Butkis

How can we ever forget that old Bear DICK ButtKiss???
I bet he asked for the spelling of his last name to be changed for obvious reason.

Colt Mckoy is a cool name along with AJ Hawk.

Mangold sounds cool but after thinking abt it I didnt think so, but he can use his name for some clever pick up lines lol

I'm sure Dick Curl has already been mentioned just wanted to show my love for Dick Curl.

Forgot to mention, his wife's maiden name was Pat Tooti.

On a hilarious sidenote, I once had a client named Yu Lie. That same week, a co worker of mine picked up a client named Harry Wang and another Richard (went by Dick) Manhire.

I almost wish I was kidding
