Ground and Pound is gone because the OL is playing terribly. The Patriots have cut players before they fall off the edge for years, and they've only missed the playoffs what, twice since Bledsoe's injury? When exactly would you have this team part ways with players? 40? 45? 50? After we win the Alzheimer's Bowl for the Jersey Rest Home Football League?

Don't you see a trend with the Jets? You can't be this dense. They pay the seven or eight core guys,,, the Mangolds, the Sanchez's, BRICK, Harris, Holmes, Revis, Cromartie, Pace, and then they try to skimp on the solid vet types,,, the Brandon Moore's, the Woody's, Ellis, LT, etc. All this does is create a team with not enough depth.... And guess what? THEY DON'T HAVE ALOT DEPTH.... Now your reply will be some BS insult but this is what it is... The Jets have no depth on the OL,,, soon as one guy got hurt, they have guys who don't even belong in the league STARTING!!!! is what it is and there is no denying it. It's not schtick. It's fact.

Hey now. No sarcasm, son. It's not like Jones' YPC dropped off by a half point while LT maintained that 4.2 for the Jets.

its a schtick in that you constantly spew the same garbage. you want the jets to never cut anyone and to pay the aging players more. i get it. you're old too.

thats how teams are built tho. you pay your foundation and surround it with quality players to support. unfortunetly, we have a dearth of talent on the line, due to both injury and lack of forethought on the gm. cant defend tanny for not getting more ol depth when it's been a problem we all saw coming.

we can defend however, his cutting of ties with aging, overpriced vets. again, ellis got way more than anyone else was gonna offer him. tjones wanted more money than we could justify to spend on a back who wasnt going to be a feature back. woody and rich retired, they dont play anymore.

    I ain't old.

I'm tellin ya,, Woody retired cause he wasn't gonna pay for the minimum. He all but said that on ESPN radio with Kay. He was making a decent buck. If they didn't cut him, he's playing today. I'm not saying your wrong about all the guys.... But I just can't take them having to play these guys on OL who look ridiculous.

There are multiple Mangolds? What did we sign that belongs to Sanchez? Why did we skimp on that belongs to Brandon Moore and Woody? As far as I can tell from what you wrote, we have multiple Mangolds on the team, some unknown things that belong to Mark Sanchez, Brandon Moore, and Damien Woody, and a bunch of other singular guys. Also, Brick seems really, really important to you, like, moreso than any other player.

I thought we got rid of all of the solid vet types. Now you're saying 2/4 of our solid vet types are still on the team? Also, what is "ALOT DEPTH"? All I can tell is that it's as important to you as BRICK.

Why in the world would he pay for the minimum? The least they could have done is pay him the minimum. I can't imagine there's any loophole that allows a team to demand that a player pay the team his contract amount rather than the other way around. Of course, if there were, Tanny would find it. *nods sagely*

Oh, that would be a mistake. I'd obviously be happy to collect that amount, but I really wouldn't offer anything to the team on the field. They'd just be throwing away an inactive roster spot on someone who wouldn't offer much on the practice field. I'm honored and flattered that you see me as an NFL caliber player, though.

The sad thing is that you know #28Martin was WAITING for a Jets LOSS to post this ridiculously retarded thread. The only guy I agree that we should have kept was Thomas Jones, but all those other dinosaurs? You best be joking. Woody was too damn old and wanted to retire anyway, Shaun Ellis wanted too much damn money, and Ihedigbo? Really? Ihedigbo who only came in on special teams packages and certain defensive packages?

If the Jets needed any of those guys for us to succeed, then we've been sucking more than all of us realized. Yet, that's not the case. The onus has been on the offense since 05. We changed regimes and it's still the problem. Let's not talk about what we lost, we should be talking about what we should be losing to improve.

Why am I not surprised, we get our ass handed to us and #28 Martin is back to his old tricks. Vet leadership would not have saved the team last night. This team has vet leadership, Bart Scott, Nick Mangold, David Harris are all leaders. It's just easy to pile on when the team shits the bed.
