    It's simple to defend actually.

    Cromartie is coming off a great year making the pro bowl. The market for corners right now is HUGE. Skrine is making a little over $7 million, but Cromartie shouldn't make $8 million?

    It's very simple. Just go look at the numbers for corners

    Not about age. It's about production. Cromartie produces at a level where he deserves $8 million.

    Since the new CBA came in. Have you noticed that vets don't get big money deals any more?

    We're in retro-land at the moment with the Jets and retro-land didn't even work well under the old CBA.

    I love when the cap "experts" on here start babbling about the cap, which goes up every fucking year (which is almost never acknowledged). Shut up already - it's not your money, and you have no fucking clue what the GM's plan is. Do some of you think that the GM doesn't have a plan and doesn't know how the cap works?

    The fact of the matter is we went from the worst secondary in the NFL to probably the best in the course of 48 hours. And considering our coach likes to play multiple DB's on most plays, this move is great (like with Revis, we should have never let Cro go)...

    If age isn't an issue, we should have considered signing Ike Taylor or Peanut Tillman for one year--lot cheaper with as much production, most likely.
