Great thread. I even love Gase. I hope he builds on this win. Congratulations to all of our Coaching Staff.
One game, opposed to 4 complete fire dumpster performances on offense, doesn't mean anyone is dumb/stupid for thinking that Gase isn't worth the hype. Certainly hasn't proven his "offensive genius" label to be true. It's one game. Let's see how the rest of the season pans out.
He for sure needs to prove himself. I just don't think it's fair to fire a coach after 4 games with mostly a ps qb.
I wouldn’t go as far to say everyone was stupid but it was certainly premature considering we didn’t have a healthy Darnold for one of those first 4 games.
Yeah, because Gase was the difference in this one. He still made a lot of questionable calls, but Sam bailed him out on a lot of them.
He called a lot of plays designed to get the ball out right away since the ol isn't good. It was a combo of both people doing their job well.
Lmao!!!! You knew this was coming. Gase's offense had almost 400 yards but let's credit Darnold for that but blame Gase for Falk at QB LOL
and guess what, he made some good calls where the players let him down. just like 13 other games this week. the jury is way, way out on Gase hc of nyj
The Williams boys balled.... Adam Gase hid the offensive lines defeciencies with Quick passes... Sam was great except for the pick. That was critical as it should have not been that close.. Cooper being out helped...
Not at all. The scheme and the play-calling was atrocious. Trevor, Luke, I don't care, that was some of the worst offensive performances I had ever seen. I am not giving a pass for that. I don't care that Darnold was out, I didn't expect to light the world on fire, but competent football wasn't a tall order to ask for. It wasn't even close to that. You don't get a lot of slack when you don't have a great resume and you just struck out as the HC of our division rival. If he doesn't turn this thing around in a huge way moving forward, I want his ass fired, I never wanted him here to begin with. Period. We shall see how the rest of the season unfolds.
