Did Pennington not also throw for 300 in week 2 of 2006 and in the wild card playoff loss, both against New England that year? Prior to that season we had a 300 yard game from Brooks Bollinger against Miami in 2005. EDIT: Chad threw for exactly 300 in that playoff game and Ramsay threw for -1, so 299 net.
This is worth a try....our offense really looks out of sync lately and the last 4 mins of the game and into overtime, they looked like a different team. I would try it every 2nd or 3rd series, mix it up a bit and see what happens.
