I'm sure I'll catch shit for admitting this but I saw Breaking Benjamin and Disturbed this past Saturday with my 28 year old son who loves both bands, especially Disturbed. Both bands were excellent. I had seats about 20 rows back at Jones Beach.

I enjoyed Breaking Benjamin more than I thought I would, but the night belonged to Disturbed. David Draiman has one of the best voices in rock. He really can do it all. He was spot on even at 51 years old. Their version of Sounds of Silence is truly spectacular.

If I had one complaint it would be the useless solos. None of their band members are so good at their respective instruments that they deserved solos, especially the bass player. But other than that and a 5 minute speech about depression/suicide it was a 9/10 show. I'd see them again in a heartbeat.[IMG][IMG]

Best Concert: Symphony and Metallica MSG
    Best Performer Live: Volbeat
Best Concert Experience: Limp Bizkit, Eminem and Xzhibit at Continental Airlines
Worst Concert Experience: Amsterdam at Randall’s Island (reminiscent of Woodstock…no water available on a 95 degree day) Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Snoop Dogg, 311, Wycleff, Garbage

There’s a ton more concerts I’ve haven’t put pictures up for:

    Slipknot
    Sevendust
    The Roots
    John Mayer
    Slayer
    Common

Biggest bummer was missing Rage Against the Machine due to the pandemic and I never got tickets again =(

Their old / original "raw" stuff is so much better than their new stuff IMO.... first saw them in 2010 (before they were really "rockstars") then again in 2019 and they did a big block of it with just the 2 of them

Playing here downtown St. Augustine friday night.... will be my 3rd time seeing them. Outdoor show, and of course galeforce is NE'er forecast ....we'll see

ticket prices are pretty $tupid, but I got mine when they had a 1 day half price promo...

@stinkyB , Do you live in St. Augustine?

My daughter just got a job at Flagler College and moved there a couple months ago.
    Really cool city.

My parents realized I was never leaving.... Dad got a transfer to JIA with about 5 or 6 years before retirement (around 20 years ago?) they've been here since. ha

btw... I think my uncle's seats in the old stadium was in 336 (may have been 316, don't really remember)... until they moved to the lower level.

anyway... back to the original topic. I gotta say I have a totally different opinion of Mumford & Sons now. Not a band I'd listen to at home, but holy shit those guys are performers!
110% effort and they were super into it. Great show.
Unfortunately friday night was a logistical DISASTER and we got stuck in line forever trying to get in and I missed Lord Huron. (organizers got enough hatemail overnight and changed it up for saturday) I was disappointed in the Black Keys setlist as it was mostly "radio hits" and not what I wanted to hear, also seemed like they just wanted to get it over with. Saturday night made up for it though

In a few weeks going to see Steve Hackett, Genesis guitarist from 1971-77, in my opinion their best years.
He is doing Foxtrot at 50, and playing the entire album to celebrate 50th anniversary.

It is a small theatre in Durham, taking my son. Trying to get him to see as many classic rock greats as I can before there are none left.
At 21 He has seen, Rush, Yes, Roger Waters, Carl Palmer, Genesis.

Loved that GTR album they put out back in the 80's. My band covered a few of those songs.
