Based on who I think will be available at this point, I'll go with: 1st: Eric Ebron 2nd: Davante Adams or Jarvis Landry
Mack (will be gone) Marquise Lee I look at Evans and he doesn't impress me like he does everyone else. He and Nelson look like the same player. Big body good hands not the fastest guy on the field. I like Lee a lot I think he is a stud. I think he has shown it for a couple years now and he had a bad qb last year and still did a good job. I don't see us going TE in the first but you never know. At the end of the day Idzik is going to have a big board based on Best players. If they have a guy high on that list at 18 it will not matter if it is a glaring need or not..they will pick BPA if it is a guy that they value over everyone else. they fill needs in Free Agency...
Evans impresses me, I can't believe someone would think negatively about his production. 2013 stats.......... 1394 yards 20.2 Average 12 TDs Biggest games........Bama 279 yards (4 Tds)......Auburn.......284 yards Evans speed or perceived lack of has been discussed in length in this draft forum. Evans isn't slow, he has adequate NFL speed for a player his size.
I don't know how you feel about, Manziel. With that said... I think Evans has made Johnny Football look much better than he really is and I can't say that in reverse order. I think with the production that Evans has already displayed with a mediocre QB at best, that alone is extremely impressive. If my opinion holds true, it will be scary to see how good this kid is going to be with a quality QB throwing to him in the NFL.
Johnny is an excellent College QB that won't be able to withstand the physical nature of the NFL. He was beaten up in College, he will get killed in the NFL.
Body types are different, both are physical in their own way. Evans is better after the catch getting down field with his size breaking tackles. Boldin is better making that clutch catch fighting off defenders.
I feel he compares to Tebow in a lot of ways, only through different spectrums. Both were amazing College athletes, that really made lesser players in college look silly. I think Johnny Football will have just as much hype as Tebow did coming out of college. Followed up by the same results in the NFL.
He's a much better passer than Tebow. Johnny has the passing ability to be successful, but his attitude to tuck it and run all the time won't fly in the NFL. IMO, Johnny won't have the patience to be successful in the NFL and get killed trying to do everything on his own. Hopefully he get's in a system with a great offensive coordinator to help (make) him succeed, but don't count on it.
1st Round: Eric Ebron or Ha Ha Clinton- Dix 2nd Round: Allen Robinson (Penn State) or Jordan Matthews
(I'll be John Idzek...) Round 1 - BPA Round 2 - BPA I'll bet there will be a ton of Jets fans scratching their collective nuts again this year.
