The problem is that Winters still has the same fundamental problem every single time he gets beat and he always gets beat with a d lineman rushing up field then cutting back inside. That's the first place you're taught as an offensive lineman you're not allowed to get beat. He seems like he'd make a better center or maybe on the right side but he's down right awful as a pass blocking left guard.

Here's an article on ESPN from February 7th, 2014. It's a debate about who the Texans should take at #1, Clowney or Bridgewater.

I realize that Mariota might not be there at 6, but there is just as good of chance that he slips too. Stranger things have happened.

unfortunately there's no Clowney in this draft class, not many clear cut choices

He should return to camp and maybe they move him somewhere else cause at the very least he's versatile and experienced. He's just not a starting at this point and I'm personally not hopeful that he ever will be.

My point was, this time last year Teddy was being considered for the #1 overall pick. He fell to 32. I'm not saying Mariota will fall to 32 or that he will fall at all. It's just too early to say, definitively, whether he'll be there at 6 or not.

Until someone calls his name in Chicago however, I will have hope that he'll be there at 6.

That's actually pretty cool. Maybe if things don't work out in Buffalo we can hire Rex to be our GM.

Considering how much you love Idzik, I can say I would rather have Ryan be the GM than him, but then I'd rather have the team bus driver be the GM than bring back Idzik.

My dad's theory is that there were some pretty heavy hitters in the NYC organized crime world who placed certain very large wagers on a certain huge underdog with very favorable odds and, eh, suggested none too subtly to Earl Morral how unfortunate for his wife and kids it might be if he didn't play the worst game of his life.

    Think about it.
