I think about every jets fan on the planet could walk away happy with a first four picks of Limas Sweed, Brandon Albert, Ahtya Rubin, and Cliff Avril. That is why I think it is so important for Mcfadden to be there at 6 so we could make that deal with dallas for the 2 #1's and some people even think we could get a spare third rounder out of it.... if we did that who wouldnt love this draft?

    #22 Sweed
    #28 Cromartie/Brandon Albert
    #36 Rubin
    #68 Avril
    #93 Roy Schuening/Joe Flacco

god I would love to walk away with a first day like that! well actually it's the first 3 round now isnt it? round 3 has been moved to day 2, i'm not a fan of that move, but whatever....

Here's the quote I mentioned in another thread:

"...The other player getting a lot of attention from the Jets is offensive tackle Carl Nicks from Nebraska. Nicks is a huge, physical tackle who would fit perfectly at right tackle for Gang Green. Also, new offensive line coach, Bill Callahan, is very familiar with Nicks and is putting in a good word for him. He is listed at 6-5, 335 and would certainly upgrade the team's right tackle spot instantly....."

I don't really know much about Nicks, but from what i do know, he just seems to me that he isn't a guy who can just step in from day one and be a starter, I would prefer a guy like Gosder Cherilus or Chris Williams if we indeed go tackle in round 2...

Neither might make it in round 2, and theres probably better value elsewhere at that point. The best 3-4 DL talent (Sims, Moore, Bryant, Rubin, Balmer) should be go fast, but we should probably grab one of them with this pick.

I could be completely wrong there, but for now I think Nicks in the 3rd would be better than Cherilus/Williams in the second.

I do trust our Callahan to mold our young OL much better than Wise did. Adding Faneca or Bell through FA would be huge...I'm kind of praying to that guy in the sky we land one of them.

well actually dware I think they were talking about us taking Nicks in the second, thats pick i have seen in a bunch of the recent DraftTek mocks (it is a sort of simulated draft based on need and all i'm sure if you search for it you'll find it) it updates daily, and they have Nicks going in round 2, and recently they had us taking him at the top of round 2. I just dont think he would be the right value in round 2, and like I said, i would prefer Williams, or Cherilus in round 2 over Nicks, if those guys are off the board, i would prefer to snag some of the 3-4 DL talent like Balmer, Sims, Moore, Rubin, or Bryant.
