Technically they added more than an inch to London's height. Something just doesn't add up because he does not look as tall as Corey Davis. He looks taller.
Yeah that's weird to me, he definitely looks 6'5 or so on the field. I guess in some ways this could be spun as a positive for the "he's too frail" crowd. 6'4 220 instead of 6'5 210 as was listed.
Thanks. That's still a good-sized hand, and bigger than the norm, for WRs, I think, but could be mistaken. Even if not, the more important point is that he has great hands and doesn't drop many passes.
I want to know who started the "Burks has ungodly sized hands" rumor. They said he had 11 inch hands; he came in at 9 7/8.
I still like him as the best WR in this class because he's still big, wins jump balls but also a great YAC guy. Measurables... Burks looks like he was built in a lab. I don't want to be fooled by that though.
So Burks has the bigger wingspan even though London is 2" taller. That affirms even more for me that Burks is the guy
Yea I hope no one is fooled into thinking this makes him any less of a fantastic prospect (I know you don't) but it is funny. A few scouting videos/sites say he measures close to 11" thumb to pinky, but "hand size" is still something that people bring up nearly any time he's brought up. Meanwhile they are nothing more than above average.
Both guys are going to be solid NFL receivers. Don't really think measurements should be the deciding factor in drafting a WR (unless something is very concerning) Tape is the most important thing. I think London will turn heads when he runs his 40, he's probably going to top out at 4.5, maybe sneak into 4.4 speed. Curious to see his 10/20 yard splits. FWIW, I'd take Burks.
I hate to be influenced by combine numbers but I have to agree that this makes me think a little less of him as a prospect or at least as a fit with this team.
Don't think he's running today cause of injury. We'll see at his pro day, but those thumbs tend to be a little quicker at pro days With that said, I'd be absolutely flabbergasted if he ran better than 4.5.
I'm with you, London is my favorite out of the bunch. When you catch that many balls as the only threat opposing defenses have to worry about it means you're doing a lot of things right. I know some big USC fans and they've raved about him. I don't dislike Wilson and Burks for what it's worth, London is just my preference.
Both measured in very good. Very interested in the agility drills for Burks. If he's trying emulate Deebo I want to see the change of direction. I didn't see this on tape. Great straight line speed, but didn't see the lateral agility. Well have to wait until pro day for London unfortunately. It looks like he may have added some weight which will suit him well for his projected role. Agreed, both are good prospects.
