    Need a guru's opinon:

Can Brian Rolle be a safety at the next level?

He's got the build and just enough speed. I like how he moves Can he learn the position? A 5'9 LB doesn't work in the NFL in 2011.

    I don't know, man.

Rolle was a pretty talented high school running back, so that's where the speed comes from.

What I like about Rolle is that he understands that his role in this league will be on special teams - he's been working with OSU's special teams coaches this off-season learning how to shed blocks and make plays on specials.

It's possible that he'll make a position switch, but I see him being sort of like a Coy Wire - a versatile backup that makes an impact covering kicks.

Shiloh Keo is a perfect example of an in-the-box safety. The kid loves to hit people.

I think he'll make a name for himself on special teams, and he could eventually become a role player like James Ihedigbo.

    He's probably a 5th or 6th rounder right now.

    Robert Sands is a baller - consecutive 4.5s for a jumbo-sized safety

I'd love to see him become a New York Jet, but he'll probably be a second rounder.

How was sheards 10 yard split so bad? He must have been running 30mph at the end of his 40 to have a time like that.

I don't know if this is a good thing, or a bad thing. On one hand, if it was technique, and he's capable of running that first 10 in say 1.62, he's possibly a high 4.5 guy. But then again, you could say that about a lot of guys.

On the other hand, he might just not be that fast in his first 10, which is pretty alarming. That's about the furthest any LB runs in a straight line in any given game.

Watch some clips of this kid - he's plenty fast enough to get to the quarterback consistently.

I want to watch the clip of him throwing some guy throw a window.

Tanny's not drafting this fucking guy.

    ...not this stupid shit again.

This defense needs someone like Sheard - a player that wants to absolutely kill quarterbacks. I don't want a pass rusher that's a nice person - I want a mean SOB.

As Brad Childress used to say: This defense needs players will serial killer mentalities.

Dude, that character guy stuff didn't leave with Mangini. Tanny isn't drafting anyone like this. Since he's been here, all of our picks have been decent guys-- several Academic All Americans, or Academic all conference.

Look at who we've picked over the last few years. All smart guys, with little, to no off the field issues.

It doesn't matter what you want-- Tanny is our GM, and based on the last 5 drafts, he wants quality guys who don't have criminal records.

Brad Childress was just fired, what's your point?

Well if youre gonna look at past 1st round picks (since that's where we would pick sheard) what player have we recently picked that arguably wasn't the most talented or best fit for us. It just so happens their smart/a good human being aswell.

We have taken chances on character in FA though now haven't we...

Gotta say , Ive been up and down on Rahim Moore but he has been excellent today in the drills, he should really be a target for the Jets he is the Ball-hawk we've been looking for for years.

Can anybody answer what Robert Sands is having such a shitty day? Sands in the backpedaling drills (zone and man to man simulations) has been sloppppyyyy. Its nerving me a bit about drafting him. His stock is dropping a bit since he's showing some attitude and tightness.

Sands is 6'5. He's going to play high and be exposed in these drills.

I guess you can say that but what does that now mean for his game ( NFL wise)? Will be able to translate well enough? I was just simply unimpressed and think this hurts his stock a bit, even the coaches seemed frustrated with his performance.

Also one other note, This kid Buster Skrine looks like a nice prospect, quick as hell, great feet, loose, and stays low. Deon is hyping him like crazy as well too. I think as a mid rounder he'd be a solid pickup for some team.

Tannenbaum traded for Antonio Cromartie, Braylon Edwards, and Santonio Holmes.

I don't think he gives a god damn about character issues anymore.

What I want is all that matters - you should know this by now.

Terrell Suggs was arrested for assault while he was at Arizona State. ...he's such a terrible person and player now.
