    Good effort.

Ikem Ekwonu will be hard to pass on if there at 4 imo. I just think he’s a can’t miss player. Becton can’t be relied on long term. Even if he comes out on fire this year. I think he’s gonna be the kind of guy dealing with either injuries and/or other demons every year.

I remember leading up to draft their was rumors of either mental or drug issue that he had overcome. Whatever it was, I’m betting he hasn’t...

I love Karlaftis at 10a. I like Garrett Wilson more than Williams as 10b as I think we need another tactician / elite route runner to compliment Moore.
However, I understand the need for outside speed + I actually would not mind Williams at 10 and backing it up with Watson at 35B. Not a bad way to go imo.

The other two picks I love are Ford, who I think would be a tremendous complimentary back and give the Jets a solid 1-2 punch.

Troy Anderson is such an intriguing player. He looks and plays like a genetic freak vs the competition. Guys who check the physical boxes like he did, generally get picked way earlier than any of us could ever imagine... we’ll see, would love him as a Jet.

No complaints with this draft really... hopefully it’s not wishful thinking and the Jets can land somewhere in this sort of range of talent.

Ok, now that I've had time to digest your draft, I applaud your effort. First off, I don't like picking a guy at number 4 as an insurance policy for someone else on the roster. You don't get to pick that high too often, therefore, I would want to pick an impact player at a position of need here. If Becton, does come back, and there is no reason to think he won't right now, the O-line should be solid. It may be they think Ekwonu is the best player available at #4 and I'd be okay with that reasoning.

With two picks in the top of the second round, the Jets should get 4 first round talents in this draft. Hopefully, JD will use those picks judiciously to shore up areas of weakness. I think the players you selected will do that just fine.

Yeah, that's why I prefaced my remarks by saying that this particular mock is based on the assumption that they want to move on from Becton, so taking Ekwonu at #4 isn't "insurance" or "backup" it's to find a reliable stud to replace Becton. But I also understand that they might want to give Becton one more chance to show he can be the long term answer, in which case, I see them taking the best Edge available by their assessment.

And again, I still have a very strong hunch that JD has a trade back all worked out. I don't think he's sticking at #4 and/or #10, but for now that's all we can rely on.
