Some nice games today. I wish the USC v Kansas game wasn't a 9:40 tip. That is going to be absolutely miserable to stay awake for, but it's such a big game for my bracket. Also have LSU over Michigan.
Just talking to some friends about the late tips. They're killing me. I can usually do midnight but the two hour halftime show and back to back commercial break if there's a foul before the media timeouts is killer. Ducks looking damn good.
Man, I wake up at like 3:45 - 4:15 so definitely looking at only a few hours of sleep tonight. Just made some tea, hoping this will get me through the rest of the games. LSU v Mich looking like it will be a hell of a game all the way to the end
USC absolutely smashing Kansas all over the court. Kansas down by 20 at half and Kansas can't get anything going whatsoever. USC is so damn big man. Average height of that team is 6 ft 8. How do you go up against that?
holy shit dwinner!!! u better get ur ass to bed!! bro, u are going to be lucky to get 4 hours of quality sleep!!! I hope you aren't flying a plane or operating on anyone tomorrow morning! lol
Scheduled for open heart surgery at 11:45 .. I think I'll be fine, right??? I will be in bed tomorrow by 7:30 probably LOL !
The conference the talking heads hated, the Pac-12, has 4 of its 5 teams in the Sweet 16; the two blue blood conferences, the Big Ten and the ACC, have 3 of their 16 teams in. At least one Pac-12 team is going to the Elite 8, since USC and Oregon play each other next.
Looking forward to Oral Roberts vs Ark Saturday night. Abmas is playing out of his mind right now and March is all about guard play. Something about Arkansas bothers me. IIRC they were down early in the opening round game by double digits and then last weekend as well vs Texas Tech. I would love to see a 15 make it to the Elite Eight. Now that I look back at it, it's kind of crazy how low ranked Loyola was. Kenpom had them ranked top 10 in efficiency rating but the committie had them as an 8 seed near the likes of Missouri, Clemson, and VCU at around 45ish on Kenpom. Illinois really got a horrible draw with that as their 2nd game. Loyala should easily have been a 3, 4 or 5 seed. I didn't really see many people complain about the committees job this year of seeding or teams that did or did not make the field of 68. Prob due to no tourney last year and we were all just happy to have it.
That always happens. The committee sucks at seeding. Loyola getting to the sweet 16 is not even an upset. They were one of the top 16 teams in the nation all year
It would never happen, but I see talks about it every year: Would you be opposed to Vegas doing the seeding? I always laugh when a 10 beats a 7, but the 10 was favorite by Vegas lmao
We can always throw stones at the rankings but this year we should probably keep it to very small ones. Teams playing short schedules, dealing with cancellations, travel limited and general overall uncertainty did not make for easy selections. Of course that no consolation to me when I was a lower seed giving points.
What a horrible bad beat for Houston bettors. Contested deep three at the end for Oregon State who I had +7 (+100).
