Hasn't this team learned from Chrebet? I mean what is wrong with the medical staff on this team. As much as Wayne used to say, that he didn't care about the consequences of going back out and playing, that he'd deal with them. The last interview I heard with him was that he regretted it. Clearly the NFL needs to get involved in concussion situations. Make it mandatory that if a player suffers one, they miss at least one game. In fact, if they suspect a player suffered one, don't let the staff of the team decide, let an independent doctor decide when they are able to come back. It was pretty clear to me that Coles suffered a concussion, if fact it looked like he lose consciousness, for a few seconds.
I agree that someone should step in. You would think the players union would be involved. http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=37210
Question: How do you get a serious concussion? Answer: Start with a mild concussion and play a game of professional football... Coles needs to sit this week for the benefit of his long-term health. This team will be mad and will stomp on the Chiefs no matter who is playing. Coles can afford a week off.
