If Coles could develop chemistry with Patrick Ramsey in Washington I think he will have no trouble getting along with Favre in a week or two.

If he has a good game Sunday all is forgiven and we can move on, but, at this point his quote says more than he doesn't have chemistry with Favre.
Rather, in this quote he is saying that he is equal to Favre, and that Favre must accomodate his style as much as he must accomodate Favre. This is the ego aspect that he carries around with him. Cotch had to go through the same process but he did so without any ego problems.

Well I think Favre would agree that they both have to adjust. It's a team game, it's not the New York Favres. Any professional athlete worth a damn has an ego.

If he has such "man" love for CP ship his a$$ out there ASAP & get a 2nd rounder in return. We will survive just fine without him. Maybe Coles cannot handle BF hard balls vs CP lollypops

I'm willing to give LC up to the Bye Week to get his shit together and be in sync with Favre. If he doesn't produce, we are well within the Week 6 trade deadline.

I like Coles. I wish he would've kept his mouth shut all season for respect of Pennington, but the masses keep getting bigger and bigger for not liking or wanting to get rid of this guy.

This article beat me to the punch. He didn't sound enthused to be playing aong Favre in the other 2 threads previously started, and this one isn't any better. I'm not saying he hates Favre, but any wide receiver who isn't at least enthused to play alongside HOF and give it his best should be benched or shipped out.

What bothers me the most was how a Captain #1 Wideout can within 1 year (the same year his pal is gone) go from being a leader on this team, to "well, if the Jets can win without me, let it be, what can I do. It is what is it". Bottom line is, this translates into 2 things...first, a bad/losing attitude period. Or, he's really trying but just isn't getting it, which I don't see it translating on the field. Either way, he'll end up on the bench and be unhappy come mid-season. Let's hope it's neither and he has a Pro-Bowl season for us.

That's crazy talk. Coles never said he did not want to play with Favre, or that he was not trying to get in sync. How enthused does someone have to be before you say his ass shouldn't be shipped out of town?

Something tells me Favre is not upset about this at all while some here are frothing at the mouth over it.

Coles is still a quality receiver and Stuckey is still injury prone until he proves he can stand up to a full season of knocks. I think the Jets would be foolish to let go of a proven receiver early in the season when they're not likely to be able to pickup a decent replacement if somebody else goes down with an injury later on. There'd be nothing sadder than having Brett Favre's season in the sun in NY disrupted by a lack of quality receivers. I suppose if we had to we could always make an offer to the Titans for Justin McCareins...

I never said he did not want to play with Favre. I said in the interviews he didn't sound enthused about playing alongside Favre.

I also believe that he is trying to get in-synced with Favre, which is good and I hope he does because it could only benefit the team and give us so much more weapons on offense. I'm still cutting the guy slack and hopes he turns it up.

However, he needs to get that mentality of "if they Jets find a way to win without me on the field, then it is what it is" attitude and give it his best shot to get on the field with Favre. That's all I'm saying. Either way, if he doesn't, the coaches will see it and he'll be as useful and as expensive on this roster as was his good friend Chad.

Holy shit Jets fans are retarded.

Amazing we needed yet another thread for the stupidity to sit in the spotlight once again.

The damned article explicitly states that Coles and Favre are laughing it up together. They're obviously getting along just great. The only piece of the puzzle missing is translating that onto the field. Considering Coles had all of TWO PRACTICES before last Sunday's game, I'd say he played fine.

Journalism and the internet have made Joe Average a retarded parrot.

Thank you.. I completely agree. Coles says what going on with him this season and people here make 5 threads bitching about him and have the nerve to say he's whining.

Well fuck Coles. Santana Moss was my favorite player but I dealt with getting Coles back. Deal with this.

Might as well trade him back for Santana Moss. If Coles cared so much about Pennington, why the hell did he leave in the first place?

Someone else had it right - He sounds like he doesn't want to be there. He doesn't sound pumped. How long has it been since he's talked about football?

You guys can call it surface rubbish if you like, and it's probably not complete disdain either, but he doesn't sound like he gives a shit about winning. He never really has. The only shit that I can remember coming out of his mouth is "personal feelings" about shit.

Go write a fucking book, and sell it on Oprah. It's grown tiresome. He's greatly overrated to begin with.
