Coles can say whatever he wants as long as he continues to put forth full effort. What's wrong with having a vocal player?
I think Coles is a great receiver and I love his toughness. With that said Mangini is looking to build a positive culture where people want to work hard. Having a positive culture is contaigous. Haveing a negative on is contagious too. Coles undermines the culture with his negativity. It is not major impact, but it is there. It would be nice if he could be a little more professional and try to fit the team culture instead always finding a way to undermine it.
You have to be kidding...that would be a stupid, stupid move. Sorry, but the other 3 guys you mentioned are not starters. brad Smith did what last season to make you think that he can develop into an every-down guy? So should the Steelers have kept Randle El and let Hines Ward go?
SNY video doesn't work for me. I must be missing a plugin, someone wwanna put this coles vid on youtube for me? :-D
Totally wrong. Watch the video in the link I provided previously. Thats not a disruptive player The thing with Coles which some people are missing is that firstly Coles' comments are tongue in cheek , they are not said with any conviction to undermine. Secondly , theres a huge difference between complaining and then doing something with reluctance and in Coles case , he does all the drills etc then has a light hearted whinge about it. For what he brings to the team and the fact that it is not upsetting anybody , whats the problem?
If Mangini is deluded enough to believe that any group of 53 men will EVER be without some gripes and grunts then he is not the coach I thought he was. With that said are we really gonna go off the deep end every year when Coles mentions how tough our offseason program is?
