Saw this on Twitter earlier. Send him over the middle for gods sake and use him properly, not 50/50 jump balls. Its so frustrating.

To be fair, I think the guy under center may have something to do with that....

In regards to separation rate Moore had the 17th best separation rate of any WR in the league in 2021 at 3.4 yards. He has posted similar numbers this year.

    https://jetsxfactor.com/2022/06/26/ny-jets-receiver-separation-metrics/

In terms of production Moore's production when healthy last year was extremely high. Over the 6 games he played healthy he was on pace for a 1400 yard reason and during that 6 game period was a top 10 WR.

With all due respect your entire post is a large Monday morning/Sunday evening typical Jet fan overreaction.

Moore is ok, he’s not getting the ball, that has a lot to do with Flacco not really going through reads, having time to go through reads and Moore being on my fantasy team. All huge negative factors when hoping for big time production.

Seriously, the one year I enthusiastically take a Jets player. I have Moore in both of my leagues. I usually steer clear of Jets when it comes to fantasy. I still think he can turn it around and if he doesn't, probably a good chance it's the QB or the play-calling at fault

That plus I've noticed when he is wide open - usually a sideline slant - Flacco misses him by a mile.

I'm not worried about Moore - let's see what happens when Zach comes back.

The investigation into Elijah Moore's slow start has dried up for lack of evidence?

Couldn't agree more. Right now he's nothing more than a short, slow receiver with limited playmaking ability. I would move him back to the slot to try and motivate him. Either way, if Saleh and Lafleur want to fix this it's going to require changing things around. Benching some underperforming starters.

He is still on pace for 700 yards. If Garret Wilson is the #1 (who is on pace for 1200) - this is perfectly fine for him. Moore is a 2nd round pick, the expectation for him shouldn't have been to be a elite A1 WR. Garret Wilson on the other hand was a top10 pick. Just saying.

One of my big problems with LaFleur, so far, is that he doesn't seem to know how to utilize the talent effectively.
He often focuses on one player for a while, then moves on to another. So ya see GW get targeted a few plays in a row, then CD, then... etc. But how he's been using Moore is the most troubling, & puzzling.
Here's a great read (again by Michael Nania), with film & analytics, that clearly illustrates how Moore is being used ineffectively, even though he's doing everything right.

I don’t think this is a MLF thing where he’s cooking up plays to go to certain guys like you claim.

I do feel Moore is being miscast currently and part of it is said in the article posted. The Jets love him on the outside but I want to see Moore in the slot more. It’s not like he can’t be on the outside but use his short area quickness more. Wilson has the better long speed and the jumping ability that really no one on the team has save maybe Mims to get those 1 on 1 jump balls. I think once Wilson learns more of the outside, you can move Moore to the slot, and then have these guys play off each other more.

Once we get some continuity with Wilson behind center with the receivers most of these cold cases will be closed.

X Factor ran a story yesterday that explains a reason why Moore has been targeted less. Moore is running deeper longer developing routes. For example the average depth of Moore's routes is 14 yards which is 10th longest of any WR in the league compare that to G. Wilson's 11 yard average. X Factor makes the case with the current state of the line that it will be rare the QB will ever get time to throw to these longer developing routes.

Does that class as separation or a full divorce?
