once you get to third down they EXPECT pass, to run it there isnt a big issue to me. sure they could have changed it up a little bit with formation or actual play but the run call there is not a big deal to me. it wasnt executed and they outplayed us on that down. the thing that is more disturbing is the fact that bellichicken said before the game they are the jets we know what they are going to do. even with favre they already know our gameplan and what to do against it. THAT is the reason that shotty is a problem. THAT is the reason why mangina is an issue. shotty is HIS RESPONSIBILITY, the game plan is HIS responsibility. this is another case of him not caring what is best and sticking to his guns of what he wants to do rather than what is best to do. that is far more scary than any one play or set of 3 plays. but hey i guess we complain about the things that stand out the most.
Agreed...Shotty is making Mangini look bad. He's basically still riding with the same coordinators that he started with. He's learning. Shotty needs a veterans voice to help him. What I'm seeing & don't like from Shotty is that for some of the plays called...he's using the wrong personnel. Especially when it comes to using the RB's. His 1st season...he was new & hot, but maybe he's alot like his dad & doesn't properly adjust.
