So it's OK with you when Favre gets pounded due to a missed Keller block?

It's happened already. Check the San Diego game. Favre fumbled on that one.

At least be adequate at blocking.

nobody uses TDs more than Favre in the Red Zone... he hasn't had the opportunities this year.

Keller would have 2 in the red zone if one wasn't called back against the Bengals... and thus satisfying your claim.

No, the point is, don't bring him in to block. Line him up wide and let him use his WR skills.

TE's have dual purposes. They have to block when the play designates they do, or if there is a blitz coming.

I understand lining him wide but this can't be done all the time. Otherwise, go four WR's and let them run all about. If Shotty can get him some nice matchups, I'm all for Keller being on the field. If he is lined up tight formation and a blitz is coming, warn Favre.

I agree they have dual purposes. But since he's more of a WR/TE, then use him in the passing game until he improves his blocking skills. Even if it's obvious and a CB or S is on him when he's lined up wide, that helps out the other WR's; much more than, say, if he's not on the field at all.

I'd like to see Clowney play some this week. Our receivers aren't getting much seperation and we could use a real deep threat. Why does Cotchery keep cutting his routes short and going to the middle rather than going deep? 3 picks because of that (San Diego, Oakland, and KC). Did he not see any footage of Favre and Jennings last year?
