I'd do both. Hopefully the Jets can sign Spiller and draft a RB in the middle rounds since that position has a lot of depth this year.
You need SOME veterans on the team. You can't just overhaul every position. You have to make smooth transitions and I imagine that's what these moves are. As much as I loved Rex, if he was the current coach, I'd be worried that he was being too faithful in his own guys. Bowles/McCag have no reason to retain them other than the fact that they believe they will help the team.
No kidding,I know you need veterans on the team...We also need talented players on the team to which we severley lack right now
Agree, lets get some vet free agents in here that are actually good. Off topic though, I agree with a lot of your posts on this site but every time I see that shit eating grin from joffrey it just pisses me off and makes me want to hate you.
Lol ,that was kind of the point of it.I usally rotate avatars once a month or so after I get tired of looking at it....this ones going soon to
What Chris Johnson is doing in Arizona right now is exactly what we need to compliment Ivory and regardless of who's fault it was for his horrible season last year it's a damn shame.
I think a lot was simply a reality check and him getting released again was what he needed but damn it would have been nice for him to realize that with us. And no I don't say that meaning we shouldn't have declined his option, we absolutely should have.
I was wondering about this in the Week 7 NFL thread. One thing is for certain, he never had that burst when he was playing here last year. And that was before he got shot.
Any team could've had him too. He's not able to handle a full workload anymore but he still has that burst (that he didn't have last year) Wonder if he'll last the whole season though. Cards sure need the run game.
Disappointing to see him do well after being so poor with us. Ridley has suddenly become a very important piece.
No regrets. He probably wouldn't be doing this here and hindsight is 20/20. It was a no brained move at the time.
Seems like a front runner to me. He gave up last year when he saw we weren't going anywhere with Geno. This year they have a competent offense and he's fast as a bullet
lmao seen a lot of bad posts here recently but blaming CJ's success on Geno or even Vick is one of worst. He never looked good from day 1 in green and white. It's not on the QB, the o-line, or Rex that he had no burst and no vision. Him getting his game back is and was on himself not anyone else.
I havent been able to watch most of he games, so I'm wondering where the hell Bpowell has gone? I thought he'd be an ideal match for Ivory and be able to spell him enough to keep Ivory healthy and fresh. Sounds like BP has disappeared. Any reason why? I haven't read about him being injured. But maybe I missed it?
So it's not even plausible at all that a player who was once a superstar dogged it for a year when he knew the team was going nowhere? Hakeem Nicks anyone? What about Suh this year? CJ bitched about not getting enough carries last year. He didn't play with passion last year because that's the type of personality he's got. Now he's on a contender and he's looking all-world. "One of worst" arguments...yeahhh..."one of worst"
I think its plausible that the entire shitfest last season reduced his motivation. He looked ok in the 1st game--I recall a screen that worked very well--never had another success like that.
