Yeah, really. If he wanted to praise his religion, he'd just point to the sky like every other athlete.

True. plus, since God "made" him a Raider wouldn't he want to become an atheist.

Ricky Williams is a Rasta, does that mean he should be able to light a blunt in the endzone?

They need to flag undue celebrations. Otherwise players will be kneeling for Greenpeace and praising City Harvest in the endzone.

It's really simple: you scored a TD and want to celebrate then do that and no problem. You want to make a statement? Then go buy some advertising time during the game and make the statement.

That's basically the definition of religion.

Meh. The celebration rules are a little over the top. But in this case, who is to say what he meant. If he knelt and did the sign of the cross I would believe it a bit more.

Must have something to do with "There are no atheists in a foxhole."

When a player is lucky enough to make it into the EZ, they magically find SPIRITUALITY!!!!

when you are flagged for celebration, the motive behind the celebration is irrelevant, only the celebration itself is judged. I suppose I am sking too much for a football player to be logical and honest.
