A cancer for opposing defenses maybe. I don't know about his past, but lately he's been a great teammate and competitor, a pro's pro.
And a great competitor. Gonna be 31 tho. Not what I see us needing right now...especially when we're a team without a QB I'm not laying the woes of Miami and Chicago any where near him. Left it all on the field
Decent speculation, but that's all it is. For the record, I'd be excited to acquire Brandon Marshall.
Me too. Didn't know about the Bowles connection.... They're talking about him on NFLN right now w/Brandon Flowers. Flowers had high praise for him.
This is all I can find guys... http://www.ganggreennation.com/2015...ploring-trade-for-brandon-marshall-interested
I agree with it. If it's a 4th Round pick, you make the move. That's pennies for a guy as talented and effective as Marshall.
Me too and mostly for the same reason I want to pursue Revis. Essentially because we can't expect to get Cobb, Maclin... like we can't expect to land Maxwell, Jackson, Flowers... So I take Marshall (no competition for him via trade/sure thing) so that we don't end up going into the draft having to draft a WR high and I pursue Revis because I don't want to end up with no impact corners in FA.
The word we're all looking for is ROLE PLAYER. He's a good role player as a rotational RB and a 3rd down back. Not everyone on an NFL roster can be a pro bowler. At the right price he's a asset to the team.
I am amazed at the amount of hate for this trade in this thread. We could get a 30 year old wr much better than Deck, for a mid-round pick, but instead you're all no way cancer cancer cancer? Lol how pathetic...
If we want to go into the draft with a #1 WR on our roster, either we trade for Marshall to pay him $7.5 mil or we end up paying $10+ mil for Maclin, Cobb, or Harvin. How is Marshall not the best option?
He is easily the best option. That's what I'm saying dude. I've seen every game Cobb has ever played, and I am a big Maclin fan, and I'm still standing by this Marshall for a draft pick idea.
I'd make the trade in a heartbeat if it only costs a 4th round pick. The money isn't an issue because if the Jets landed Marshall, Harvin would be cut.
