Hats off on a great season, as a former Charger season ticket holder I wish it wasn't you guys that we beat today but somebody else... BTW it appears your love for the Colts is mutual as I've been on one of their boards and quite honestly most of them probably don't remember that 1-15 season.

    Great send off post dude...

Wish everyone was as classy but not gonna dwell on the Debbie downers.

and ftr, I know I'm nit picking (ok, I am a lil ) but I don't recall Revis getting beaten...

I know we were in Zone a few times and you guys hit a few nice patterns...
But looks, even if he did get "beat" a few times, we told all the SD posters before about him and a few accepted it
but the others who started claiming "you know nothing about football" and their version of facts was that V.Jax was 6'5" and everyone else vs Revis was 6'4" so that V.Jax was better than Moss and a bunch of other stuff...with no facts or merit.

You seem to actually realize what happened today and I appreciate the honesty

Now, go put on your flip flops and have a Corona

Thanks. With all due respect, this loss hurt us more because our guys played like outright rookies. Our D actually did better than I though. I don't think the Jets had been held to more than 3 three-and-outs all year, and we pulled off four in the first quarter.

But seasoned all-pros do NOT make mistakes with illegal formations, delay of game penalties, and coaching decisions that is reminiscent of Brian's Dad, Marty S. I don't mind losing hard fought battles in which both teams played hard but one was victorious, such as the two previous years. This time, Jet's pretty much played as hard as expected, but the Bolts fizzled. That's what is so hard to take to be honest.

I doubt Manning will be so accommodating, so game plan accordingly.

One guy does not make a defense. The two times he was beat were simply crossing patterns in which zone coverage at the time was in play. But that interception he made on that albeit lucky footy bounce was pure football acumen. Frankly, I don't have respect for some of our homers that said that we should challenge him, to be blunt.

That was Rivers' absolute worst half of the year, even in the previous three losses. Not so much for the missed passes, but his decisions. Not characteristic at all.

Enjoy your win. This is going to be a fun week for you! Of course, it's scheduled to rain here in SD for a friggin' week...

All of this week, most of us are guilty of saying go fuck yourself san diego.

    You stay classy, sandy eggo.

That wasn't as hard to say as I thought it would be. Better luck next year, man.

According to Peter King, Revis was not beaten one time:

"We've got a ton of respect for Revis,'' Philip Rivers told me Friday at the Chargers' training facility, "but we're not going to avoid him. We'll take some shots at him.''

Oh really? Rivers went back to pass 45 times (40 passes, two sacks, three runs after being chased from the pocket), and I charted Revis' coverage pattern on every one of Rivers' pass-drops. By my count, Rivers threw four passes into the zone where Revis had primary coverage, or to the man Revis was playing man-to-man. One was complete, to LaDainian Tomlinson, for a loss of four yards. One, to Legadu Naanee, was batted down by a diving Revis on a cross route. One, to Vincent Jackson, a deep pass up the left seam, was overthrown, with Revis and Jackson running stride for stride. And the fourth, to Jackson, was up for grabs between the two, with Revis coming down with a juggled ball for an interception in a spectacular play.

Four times Rivers went at Revis in 45 pass calls. One completion, for minus-four. One interception. You cannot play the position better than Revis played it Sunday. I don't care if you're Deion Sanders or Night Train Lane. Revis put on a clinic, a masterful display of clinging coverage and bump-and-run when the situation called for it.

Great he's not supposed to start drinking the holy water until after we've won the Super Bowl.

Somebody tell that fat bag of lard to get off our bandwagon ... he's not welcome and he's going to tip it over.

Thank you, I don't want to sound like a dick but when was Revis beaten at all?

EDIT: I just read some other posts and he allowed 1 completion on LT for a loss of 4 yards, with 1 pick, 1 PD, and 1 overthrown ball where he was in position to make a pick.

Classy post though, and good luck in the future. (Unless you're against us of course)

    Thank You
One of the things I noticed about this Jet team is that there is very little fist pumping. And when they do it, it is usually in the 4th qtr. with the game on the line. The celebrations are kept to a minimum and it is more about the team accomplishment rather than the individual. That has a lot to do with Rex.

Judging by the other 17 games we played, that has a little bit to do with our defense too, since quite a few of them also displayed such "uncharacteristic" mistakes, but go ahead and blame all it on your guys if you like.........
