You act like 500,000 is some sort of gift. The guy cant walk the streets of America for a while. So yes he made money but he will never have another job again, so that 500,000 might be it for him.

500 grand is a lot of money and buys a lot of peace of mind. Especially if you relocate and go for a fresh start. 500K is a lot of stake money. there are a few places where Wilson is a hero.
Fresh start without a job, I mean yeah he can move wherever now, but he has bullseye on his back for the rest of his life. Considering he is 28, he will have to finish the remainder of his life in hiding.

Highly doubtful. He'll move to places like Texas or Idaho where he'd be a hero. Any "flyover state" will do and 500grand goes a long way and buys a lot of protection if he needs it. I think after his 15mins of fame is up, Wilson moves to some quiet red state and lives out his life comfortably.
Yeah, I didn't expect anything to come out of it - I think it did get the word out and open a lot of peoples' eyes about the issues in this country, but at the end of the day - Michael Brown just another dead kid. Maybe change happens one day but who knows. What bothered me about the whole thing was the whole process.
Like Zimmerman, Darren Wilson will not have to "fear for his life in the streets" and he'll probably be a talking head on some cable news segment within two years. Since the only thing I know about him is "he killed a guy and got paid for it" I wouldn't be surprised if he acts like Zimmerman has acted post-acquittal: road rage, creeping out girls etc. And with all I know about Michael Brown, maybe he wouldn't have covered the world in glory either. But one will be alive and one won't.
Big difference is Zimmerman was a scumbag before he killed Martin, as far as I know Wilson didn't have any issues like Zimmerman before he killed Brown. You are really reaching.

Same here.. I knew there wasn't going to be an indictment. The whole process took way too long to develop. It appeared to me to be a play of sorts. Some pretense at due process when at the end of the day, the outcome was already assured. Like you said, its just another dead black kid in a long line of dead black kids. Nothing new there is it..They got the verdict they wanted and life goes on.. Too bad those idiots in Ferguson are going about this all wrong. They had the eyes and the ears of the world at their fingertips and what do they do with it?? Fck it up. So typical... so sad..
Yep. Considering I've lived in a few of those flyover states and there are places in this country where you can count more Star n Bars than Old Glory flags flying in the streets. I can think of a few nice comfy landing places for him. Hell, he really doesn't have to leave Missouri. I know of several towns in Mo. where blacks do not go even in broad daylight. They still have black lawn jockeys, hate the shit out of Obama and anything darker than say, off white. So yeah, if Wilson makes good use of his 500grand, he'll be just fine. Now the Browns? too bad, so sad..
I agree they are ... destroying that town won't bring Brown back and it's only going to worsen the perception. I think there are a lot of people out there that are speaking about this in the right regard but their voice won't be louder than the chaos in Ferguson. Some of those people "protesting" in Ferguson, they don't give 2 shits about that kid - just feel awful about the family.
