This is the absolute greatest thing to happen to Dolphin fans, ever. They have to defend Pennington's crappy arm. I will take a Dolphins AFCE championship for one season to witness this. Too F-ing funny.

Maybe you should try watching the actual games instead of reading the box score. Then talk.

in a way its like some sick social science experiment.

Take a QB that beat them for 8 years, who they hate, and put him on their team.

And then see them defend him as if he's a "changed man"

    That's some mad scientist shit.

He got noticed enough by the Dolphins to be resigned as a FA.

Will Mark Sanchez? Will he ever win a game?

You mean like the hits he took in this game against the Bills, the game where he had almost 170 yeards?

Funny how the Jets don't have to worry one tiny bit about the QB position, no us Dolphin fans need to fear a WR because you have a Tom Brady behind center in NY...oh wait, that's NE.

What reality? The reality you hope everything works out for the Jets and their Rookie HC and Rookie QB?

I should????? Why???? Does a TD pass look different on film than it does in a box score??? You're just loaded with excuses aren't you? Everything in the world is Chads fault, well why didn't Vinny win his playoff game against the Raiders? Afterall the QB for the Jets played awesome that day, why is it the Jets loss against the Rainders wasn't Vinny's fault? Hmm? Why? Or are you gonna pretend Vinny was to blame for that loos too? Can't have your cake and eat it too, what excuse will you make for Vinny?

Oh really? Clutch time??? Tell me who was the OC during those games? Does he get to share in any of the blame when the Jets failed?Or is this yet another agenda Jet fans seem to be stuck in? Who called the plays at that time? Do you ever see this as a team sport? Do you ever realize it's not just one persone executing plays in a game? If the Jets coaches knew Chads weakneses, why would they ask him to execute those weakneses at such a key time in a game?

You constantly ignore the big picture, Chad has coaches that come up with a gameplan, Chad executes that gameplan. Chad has coaches that come up with a two minute drill, Chad executes that drill. If the coaches call a play that involes Chad throwing a pass that isn't his best play, why is it in a game plan late in a game? I would think if the Jets were trying to win games late they would pick plays that are Chads strength, not his weakness. Coaching is impotrtant, timmy, try and keep up. BTW in Chads playoff games, he doesn't have an unusual amount of int's.

And BTW, I thought Jet fans issue with Chad was his inablity to win big games, by your post above I'm assuming you're talking about regular season games now? Gosh that Chad Pennington fellow sure was a very unsuccessfull guy as a Jet, thank god he's not a Jet anymore.

This just fortified the notion that you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. None.

Oh yeah...THAT Channing Crowder. Yes. He was so great, the team showed little-to-no interest re-signing him. Yeah makes sense. Because that's what you do with great players on your roster.

Then when he found out nobody really knew who he was gonna be once he hit the free agency market, he took the low figure the Fish offered him. Once a bitch...always a bitch.

winning a trash talking contest with channing crowder is nothing to get all pumped up about. crowder is barely competent enough to form basic one syllable words. must be due to the absolute beotch slapping he took from matt light before he ran away like a little girl.

so is your new strategy to throw out as many nonsensical points as possible and hope that eventually they form a coherent thought?

What exactly am I saying that's even close to running my mouth and making all kinds of claims for success? I have said the Dolphins can be better and I've said Chad is not the reason the Jets lost playoff games. Yet somehow in Jet fans minds I'm sayyyyiiinnngg???? What? I think I'm being reasonable, I'm using facts and statistics with my opinion. Should a rival fan just rollover cause this is a Jet board? Or is it more fun when someone at least speaks with facts and intelligence rather than simply acting a fool and making stupid predictions?

I'm not here to piss anyone off, but I won't stand by an allow ignorance to control the conversation. If Jet fans have an issue with Chad that's fine, but I want to hear legit reasons, not some boo hoo, poor us Chad never won anything as a Jet and it's all his fault. Remeber Marino never won anything as a Dolphin, but you don't see Dolphin fans blaming him for the lack of success. It's a team sport, you win as a team, you lose as a team.

No one on this thread said that Sanchez is going to be an instant winner, or that the Jets will even necessarily finish ahead of the Dolphins this year. We are simply trying to tell you, that while Chad will win you more games than a lot of scrub QB's out there, that he is not "clutch" nor is he championship quality. You remind me so much of raiderjoe; we bring up a point about the Dolphins that are just informative, and civil... and you respond with irrelevant attacks to our team.

We know we have a new HC (whom most of us like more than Mangini by a lot due to personality, but I digress) who hasn't won a single game as an HC yet.

We know our QB is either going to be a rookie (which is more likely) or a guy who has a handful of NFL starts and a losing record. So there are no promises

We know that our #1 receiver is Jericho Cotchery and probably won't scare many defenses, with the #2 and #3 slots up for grabs.

We know as Jets fans (at least the rational ones) that this season could go very badly for us. Our head coach knows that too, but its his job to build confidence and swagger in his players, and he wants to freaking win, so let him run his mouth. Us fans aren't buying into his hype and believing that we're going to be super bowl contenders this year, we don't have the pieces in place for it.

Would I be shocked if we made a wildcard playoff spot, no... I expect our defense to be leaps and bounds better this year... but honestly I expect an 8-8 season for my team, and no playoff berth for us.

As far as the Dolphins are concerned though, Chat is not the answer, I'm sorry. I've liked him as a player, couldn't find a nicer guy in the league, also one of the smartest... but he's just not a winner.

Hey! Easy there. As one Dolphins fan said...

Just don't ask Crowder to point out where London is on a map.

he can't win the big game, or the close game when his team is trailing. his two minute drill is awful because every defense knows he can't make certain throws. so they give him his little 5 yard check downs over the middle, and force him to eventually make a throw that he is not capable of making. chad has a lot of trouble getting the ball deep and outside. when all the routes that play to chad's strengths are being taken away or are useless in a two minute drill then the coaching staff can't do much about it. eventually chad will try to get the deep out to the sideline to stop the clock, the corner will jump the route and the game is over. we have all seen it multiple times.

And herein lies the problem, we aren't the Jets. We don't have the same personnel, coaches or owner. We are in different cities, different states. For some reason you "ASSUME" everything Chad did as a Jet he will do as a Dolphin and you have no proof of that' There is no history to suggest that Chad will do the same things in Miami he did in NY. You can look at the Ravens game and say "see, same results"! No they aren't, Last year was by far Chads worst playoff game, but look how badly the entire team played. I wasn't just Chad, 3.5 sacks and 52 rushing yards tells you the Oline was dominated, not that Chad simply had a bad game.

But he also had the best season of his career. Something Jet fans refuse to accept or talk about. You can't just constanlty look at the negative and say that's all that matters, cuase it's not all that matters. Chad was the Best QB in the division last year, on a team coming off a 1 win season, seemingly no WR's according to everyone who evaluates teams. Yet he won 11 games as a starter and made it through only his second seasonly completely healthy. He won comback player of the year and was in the running for MVP. This is not the same situation as NY, period. So stop talking as if what was in NY will be in Miami.

He won 2 playoff games. We beat the Chargers and Broncos and Raiders with long game winning drives last year.
