Marino 6th QB taken in the 1983 draft by the Miami Dolphins.

Those three will be long gone or someone will move up to get them. It sure won't be the Jets unless we have someone else making those decisions besides Macc.

I like Rosen and Darnold but neither will be Jets. Mayfield will be long gone also. The Jets scouts will have to be more active and work harder in this draft. The last two they have mailed it in and the Jets record reflects that. Its possible they can get a QB in the 2nd round that could be good for the Jets. But it will require some luck and the stinking scouts and GM doing their job.

Ideally Houston beat the Colt's and cleveland drops behind us with their second pick.. Why would we want them to win so we can get into a bidding war to move up. We should end up picking 6-8. The Giants would need to beat Arizona and Washington, and Houston would have to loose to the Steelers (likely) and Colt's, and could still need the 49s to beat either the Jags or Rams , depending on how SOS plays out.

Strength of Schedule determines draft position. Denver is currently ahead of us with the 9th pick

At 205 I don't see him going to the next level the way his team is using him. He'll get killed. Wentz blew out his knee just by simply doing a QB sneak. I don't think Mac is looking for that type of player.

There are no sure things in the draft. Wentz had a major question. #1 he played at North Dakota State. Definately not quarterback U.

Denver may not be in the QB market.
Everyone is forgetting Mr. Irrelevant , but Chad Kelly. Impressed in camp and if not for injury, would likely have been Denver's starter this season.

It could even go 1-2-3 when it's all said and done. A scenario like this or something
    1 Browns: Darnold,
    2 Giants: Rosen,
3 trade* Buffalo/Denver/hell Washington (after Cousins)/Arizona/Jacksonville you name is: Jackson

Then the Jets are sitting there pick 6 or 7 with no QBs or a reach. We are going to have to trade if they like any of those guys

Kelly didn't even participate in camp. He was placed on the NFI back in July just as the players reported. Its a huge stretch to say a guy who didn't practice in training camp or take a snap in the preseason would've been the likely starter and/or is going to deter the organization from acquiring anyone else at the position. he's a long shot

I'd be shocked if Darnold goes 1. I really think if he comes out, he will fall.
I think Jackson has a better chance going 1 to the Browns.
Cause they are the Browns... And Hue loves him, and part of Browns firing was hue wanting a big say in the draft

North Dakota State won the FCS championship in 2011,2012,2013,2014 and 2015. They are in the championship game again vs. James Madison next month. They are one of the most successful college programs in the country.

If the Browns take Jackson, which I doubt very much, I would be doing cartwheels because then the Jets can trade up to the 3rd spot to taker either Rosen or Darnold. Giants will NOT trade with the Jets for the 2nd position, put that in the bank.

To me Jackson is nothing more than a wide receiver/RB that can throw the ball a little. I don't see the infatuation with him and if I'm correct, neither does MacCagnen.

I don't either, but as I said, Hue Jackson loves him and I'd in Haslams ear.
I think the Colt's will pick 3rd and they could be in the QB market , if not, they can get alot more from the Bills who are definitely in the market then we can offer or should offer.

The Colts position is intriguing because if they do pick a QB then they would have to unload Luck, and I think the Jets would be in the market to take a shot at getting him if he passes the physical. Bills and Jets would go at it in the bidding war. Jets would have to use some imagination to get to the 3rd spot but for Darnold or Rosen, I would mortgage the house, lol.

There seems to be a serious rift between Irsay and Luck but if healthy, he would get to pick his team and I'd bet it's Denver or maybe the Giants.
Think about it. The Bills can give 2 first round picks, this year, a second and third this year and not lose a single pick, plus they could be in line for a 3rd and 4th round compensatory pick so they can possibly offer 2 first, a second, 2 thirds and a 4th this year and still have all 7 picks. We would have to give most of this draft, and our premium picks in 19 and 20 to complete. Then we have a potential FQB with no team and no future. By the time there's a team around him he'd be gone or ruined.

if the Colts were smart that's exactly what they'd do. They would trade Luck for a king's ransom, draft a new young QB and use that stockpile of picks and newfound large cap space to build a freakin dynasty.

Luck was good but he's not as good as the perception he gets and the salary. He might even be damaged goods. We're talking multiple 1st & 2nd round picks and probably more if they dialed up a bidding war like this. I'd do it if I were them
