The OLine was getting their asses handed to them on non blitzing, I watched every play.

#1 to the Raiders or Jags is a lock.

Even if we get a top 5 pick, QB might not be the wise choice.

    Other options:
LT - Brick is old, his play is deteriorating, his cap will exceed $10 mil per year
OLB / DE - Calvin Pace is old, our pass rushers don't scare anyone
WR - Imagine Calvin Johnson or Dez Bryant on the Jets
CB - Huge gaping hole across from Milner
    Trade down for more picks

I have been saying for a while we could really use an elite LT. If there's a great prospect where we draft I'm all about that.

If there's an elite WR there that's my second choice.

Our pass rushers have been pretty good actually, considering we're leading the league in sacks. Or were before today's game, I'm not sure now. I think Coples at Rush OLB with Enemkpali as a rotational rusher works, and I have a feeling the strong side OLB will transition from Pace to Reilly over next year. If we draft an OLB I think it should be a little later than the first round, unless it's obvious it's by far the best position available.

I'd rather sign a FA CB and see what McDougle has to offer than go ahead and draft a 1st round CB, but I won't be pissing my pants if we go CB I guess.

though i would like to see a breakdown of our sacks and how many occurred rushing 3, 4, 5, and 6.....the high sax number is sexy but with almost every play a blitzkrieg, we better lead the league.

this would be a start. over the last few years we have seen some juicy trades for those top 5 slots. a perfect opp for a team to turnaround rather quickly.....

but dang we just saw them screw the pooch on at least 3/4 of 12 picks, so do we really trust the jets having more picks?

I'm not sure, but most of the sacks are coming from Pace, Wilkerson, and Richardson. All 3 are on pace for about 10 sacks this season. And those have been against top offenses, I'd love to see what we do against teams like the Dolphins, Bills, Vikings, Titans etc.

12 picks and Idzik whiffed on all of them. How do you do that with EXTRA time before the draft this year?

So let me get this straight, it's not even close to Halloween and we are talking about the draft ? Yep it does not get worse than this !
By the way people that are talking about our so called easy second half of the schedule have not been paying attention although we should win a few of those games we can easily lose every single one of them !

I haven't watched him this year but over the last couple years, his major flaw is that he holds the ball too low and will get stripped regularly in the NFL.

I want to win enough games down the stretch so that we can pick a OG without anyone saying "that's too high to pick a guard". Or tank enough to get a premier OT.

Cause its who the "experts" say is going to be good.
Lack of skill players is one huge problem

A WR might be the better draft option to pair with a veteran QB acquisition and there is a lot of hype surrounding Mariota but I continue to be impressed by Hundley. Even in a loss on saturday he impressed me with a couple awesome deep passes for TDs and he showed his toughness by taking some shots. He was under duress all night from the pass rush and showed some composure. He's a guy we could get in the mid- to late first round.

Winston is the best QB prospect, u people forget last year he was getting Andrew Luck comparisons by scouts. with that said the Jets will screw this shit up by either picking the wrong player at 1 or winning a couple meaningless games knocking us out of that #1 spot. I mean come on it's the Jets way to just fuck shit up

Agree. The dude is a complete stud. We would need a strict talented coach to keep him in line though.
