Thats all we gotta do? Oh ok. Thanks for spelling it out.

Keep that hush hush though..other teams might find out the secret recipe for success.

If we get a top three pick, why not draft Mariota and get a WR in round two?

There are plenty of good WR prospects in this draft, are they Amari? No, but they can be very good NFl players.

I know this was a terrible loss and we've done poorly so far this season, but they have all been close games against very good teams (Bears, Lions, Packers, SD). We are not one of the worst 4 teams - we will end up in the 6-8 win range. It would be nice to have a top talent in this draft but i don't see us picking before 9 or 10

Mariota might be the first overall pick. As of now, the Raiders have a worse record then us.

I'd take Cooper in a heartbeat. Then go get the QB in 2016 - like a Connor Cook. Decker, Cooper, Amaro and Ivory is pretty good support for a young qb.

I watched glennon almost beat the saints in there house today and it made me ask a question to myself. Would geno smith, with his supporting cast have a snowballs chance in hell to doing what glennon did today?? I laughed and poured myself another drink and continued to watch football hopeful the jets wouldn't fucking suck. Sure enough I wasn't surprised.
Point being, you can have a mediocre qb do very well in this league with premiere offensive weapons. Amari Cooper and Decker along with a FA signing would make a big difference in genos development. Having to throw to always covered WR's because they cant get separation isn't going to allow an qb, let alone geno, develop into a quality starter. Sad to say we are ruining yet another qb before our eyes.

Except Glennon is also a significantly better QB than Geno as well.

It's so early to talk about this, I mean who thought Blake Bortles was going to be a top 3 pick and the first QB taken at this point last year? Let's just see what happens over the next few weeks.

But I will say fuck no to Winston. He's a royal douche, and incredibly immature. Let some other team deal with his bullshit.

If the Jets suck again next year, Idzik will NOT draft a rookie Quarterback. His job will be on the on the line, and why would he place it into the hands of Connor Cook in 2016? Look at the Texans for example, they have a pretty good OL, great Wide Receivers, good RB, but they have a below average QB and because of that they will not make the playoffs this season. And why would the Raiders draft Mariota?I think the new GM would give Derek Carr some before dumping; he's played well for a rookie.

What is wrong with a core of Mariota, Decker, Amaro, Kerley (if resigned), Jalen Strong or another WR in round two, and Ivory?

No chance and if we did, we would screw it up.

New GM + New Head Coach = New Quarterback.

Nothing is wrong with that core, but I don't see us getting the number 1 overall pick. Cooper has amazing ability, him and Decker would be an awesome combination.

Ryan Fitzpatrick has sure looked great for the Texans, hasn't he?

Surround Geno with a premier offense, and we'll go 8-8 instead of 4- 12.

Knowing the Jets we'll probably draft Winston or another Defensive lineman.

Crazy how more teams dont try to follow that blueprint though.

To think, all the draft picks over the years and its as simple as "pick the QB that isnt a bust"

    Mindblown!

Actually every team follows that blueprint. Some are successful at it. Others are miserable failures. The Jets are consistently in the second group. Now get off my nuts.

He is very mature on the field though. Isn't that what matters? While I would not invest a top 5 pick on Winston, he's not completely off my board. There is a point in the draft where he should have some value.
