Oh com'mon...that was a little funny! LOL!!! A picture of Paul Hackett would probably be funnier but not by much. LOL
Jan. 20 – 5:15 p.m.: If the Jets and Chan Gailey can’t get a deal done for him to become the next offensive coordinator, Mike Sherman could be in line for the job (Cimini, Jan. 20). I wouldnt mind Mike Sherman as our offensive coordinator at all.
It's official. Gailey is the new OC Brian Costello @BrianCoz 2m2 minutes ago Jets officially hire Chan Gailey as OC #nyj
Glad Gailey is finally on board. The thought of Mike Sherman running the offense was a bit scary. Especially if he's trying to teach Geno. I think Smith and Gailey could work out. Didn't he run the spread at West Virginia?
I'm thinking that, based on his previous work, Gailey is about a perfect a hire as you can get at this point. Especially with our QB situation the way it is. We're not a lock to get Mariotta and outside that guy I don't want anyone else. What this hire does do is open up the possibility of brining in a guy like Fitzpatrick, if we could swing it, to compete with Geno and maybe add Simms to the mix. Not necessarily a perfect storm going into 2015 but not the worst situation it could be either. Now let's get to the draft and see what Mac and his new scouting dept. can pull off!
Sounds like Bowles got his man...and Woodster forked out the bread. It's a good thing. Not a bad thing. Good luck to the staff!! On to FA and the draft. I'm back into this now
I said ground and pound won the AFC championship game. You attempt to disprove that by talking about a game other than the AFC championship game. Brilliant.
Seattle is in NO WAY a ground and pound team. They are a balanced offensive unit with a power option running game. Nothing like rex's awful ground and pound nonsense. It is not a 50s offense on any level, like what Rex eventally forces on his OC. Get ready for 5 and 11
