Agree. That is something I'm wondering about too. He has a reputation of getting the best out of mediocre talent. In Buffalo in particular, was that the case? Can it be said he got the most out of what he was given? and was he able to produce a winning offense with it?
Yes, the team that had 14!! yards rushing to beat the ravens to advance to the AFCC and arguably the best (I'd say #2) QB in the league who would love to throw it all over the school yard when conditions facilitate it is now a "Ground-n-Pound" team. your credibility here continues to grow
Haha there could not be more opposite offenses than Brady & Belichick's vs. Rex's & his "ground and pound".. It's like saying the F-16 and the horse and buggy are similar because they are both transportation
The Pats are no way a ground and pound team but what they is the most adaptable team in the NFL which is why that team is good year after year. They see you're flaws and adapt to expose them
The thing that sticks most in my mind about Gailey is that Rex's D here owned his offense; that makes me really uneasy.
why everybody keep acting as if Gailey said he didn't want to be here? all he said was he's not the offensive coordinator ! no contracts have been signed.. he in fact said he DOES want to be here and were a perfect fit for him. Woody..sign this man.
Jets had the superior team talent wise and especially defense vs Gailey's squads in the years 2010, and 2011. 2012 the Bills and Jets split and the Bills scored 28 points in both contests.
Probably Chan's last stop. He might be looking for a team that is at lest close to contention. Maybe he does not see the Jets as close.
Trestman is now the OC of the Ravens. We are running out of options. Get Gailey in sooner than later.
It's about winning games, but in order to do that, one has to score points. We've already tried letting the D win the game for us and the offense trying not to screw up, and we've seen how that worked out.
Try doing some research. He has had GREAT success in developing QBs and his offenses have been very successful elsewhere. You're just being ignorant.
The Herm Edwards offensive philosophy summed up. Funny though -- that 10 yard punt in the Cowboys-Lions game was a huge play. You can't overlook any aspect of your football team.
