The Fins suck but one thing chad has is time. The organization has massively improved and the on field personnel will improve over the next 2-3 years

Worst case scenario. Chad to Miami. Chad vs. Brett in opener and the phins crush us.

I doubt it would happen, but............

I think Chad could do okay with the Vikings. They certainly have a runningback who will keep defenses somewhat honest.

Of course i rather see Chad goto Minny or KC. Im too big of a chad pennington fan to root against him. But good luck where ever you land Chad you derseve the best.

Not surprised at all with the Miami interest... I think that will end up being his #1 destination... followed by Minn. He would have to be desperate as hell to go to KC. That team is falling apart and it would be suicide for him to play behind that line.

we only have something like 2million, in salery cap space.we need to free up $ fast, in order to absorb Farve's salery.
plus, everyone knows we're going to have to release him, why would they want to give something up, for him, when they could negotiate with him, after his release?

Exactly... every team in the league realizes it is obvious he's the first person out the door after this trade. They just have to be patient and let it happen. A team would have to be really desperate to try and work a trade at this point.

Also, if you wait until he's cut you can sign him up on your own terms monitarily. If you trade for Chad you have to abide by his contract (or force renegotiation).

Just go to purplepride.org and see the Pennington threat. The vast majority of MN fans disagree with you. Feel he wouldn't be much of an upgrade over Tavaris Jackson, a "more expensive Brad Johnson" is how one Vikes fan described the idea...

According to this we have an estimated cap space of: $6,866,782
Cutting/Trading Penny gives us +6 mil.

I think Farve's cap hit will be ~12 mil. Anyone have an exact figure?

no, my point was I will never root for his success with the fins. I'd boo my own brother if he played for them! :finssuck:

I'd personally like to see him go to Miami. Our defense knows him well and I can see us pickin him off left and right.

My friend has been telling me for years to join these boards and with "Fav-ra" now wearing a Jets jersey, it seemed like the perfect time to come aboard.

Couldn't agree more. Strong line, sensational running game and an indoor venue? This is Chad's dream gig. I think he has a damn good chance of owning his division should he become a Viking.

Yeah, and a second string RB (Chester Taylor) that is more than capable of filling in as a starter!
