Even if Chad only made $1 million this year it would still be a total of $23 milliom in three season where he never played more than 8 games any year. Chad will not be anymore than a backup this year and that is only if he is healthy.
Youll get paid less than what most backup QBs are making, because you play less than most backup QBs play. If its such a terrible deal, smartass, lets see how much you net on the free agent market
I like Chad but he got paid for the 2005 season for waiving a towel. And as mentioned a backup quaterback is supposed to be able to throw a football. If Chad plays hardball hes gone i dont see Mangini putting up with this distraction any longer.
Actually, I clearly said it was. My point was that there's no way that it's remotely reasonable that Cutler can say something possibly controversial if it's undeniably true yet Chad can't.
With regards to the Jacksonville game, that was a terrible, lolly-pop throw he made to Chrebet. A strong throw gets to him before the defender can get his hands in there. You cannot put that play on Chrebet.
if this is true than he shouldnt be so worried if he really is as healthy as he says he is. obviously anyone is going to want more garaunteed money but chad has to realize he is taking a huge pay cut.
I'm really beginning to hate this guy. Is he purposely trying to get the fans to turn on him, or is he just stupid? I always thought his intelligence was overrated, I mean, I've heard the guy talk, and I've watched him force balls into triple coverage, so I don't get what's so great about him. Does anybody truly think Chad makes better reads than Tom Brady? Or like the top 10 QBs in the league?
wow what a stupid article Two gutless cowardly Jets officials went out and made stupid remarks. Get over it pretty boy...and take the pay cut. You can't throw a football.
wrong, brooks WON 2 GAMES, whoop die do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the second one didnt have to do with a kick off return for td, or good performance by houston or anything like that, and that first win certainly didnt have anything to do with the fact that marques tuisaspatoeotael'take;lt;ae was the qb for the hapless raiders. lol, yeah, i agree with the poster you replied to, brooks is a better qb than chad, thats evidenced by brooks' whopping 7 yard first half performance against new england:rofl:
Nope..Defender got hand in so Wayne bobbled it and thus didnt get his feet in the back of the end zone. If ball had been thrown even a little hard, defender has no time to get there and thus no bobble..TD!!!! Chad's fault..not Wayne's.
hey, i call it like i see it. if someone says something incredibly i dumb, im not afraid to point it out. like i said before, there was a market for chad pennington playing football in the nfl, which is why he got paid that, which is created in large part, by us the fans, many of whom include the i dont make $22 million dollars, why should chad crowd.
he had a torn rotator cuff. he still played anyway, because he wanted to win the Jets a game. that and the fact that brooks bollinger demonstrated such a lack of skill that herm thought that chad pennington with no arm is greater than brooks bollinger.
Call it anyway you like, just don't use names to do it. If you do, you'll have to deal with the consequences just like everybody else around here. Find another way to express yourself.
Herm Edwards also left Chad on the bench for two years and let a washed up Testeverde run the show when we had a real chance to make a run in both 01 and 02 if Chad had started from day 1. Herm's lack of faith or faith in a player pretty much has zero credability. PS NYjunc completely disagrees with this post.
