Perfect summary. Favre -- ultimate iron man, record amount of INTs -- who ultimately proved to be a scumbag drama queen. Pennington -- injury prone, Highest rated passer in NFL history -- class act to the end.
As a big City Lawyer and a man who truly respects Chad I feel horribly for him. I am laughing on the inside because this might cause the Dolphins to be even more aggressive in getting Palmer. I believe their plan was to sign Chad back as cheap as possible as a insurance policy.
They probably would have drafted a QB that year, or gotten one in free agency anyway. None of the coaching staffs have been high on Clemens. It wouldn't have been Sanchez though. Chad is one of my favorite Jets ever, but trading him away and getting Rex and the gang in return was worth it. Despite the loss in the AFC championship game, last season was epic.
Sad to see he is hurt again. The guy has no luck. His NFL career may be over, but perhaps he can be a QB coach.
Chad Henne tried to light Pennington's labia minora for Hanukkah, I guess Henne got his dates mixed up. Silly Guy
I agree....... There was a brief time where we all thought he was going to be a very good franchise QB for the JETS. He's good dude who's body is nowhere as strong as his heart. Longterm, things worked out best for the JETS (Sanchez has a much higher ceiling), but no need to take shots at the guy (unless it happened during a game wearing an aqua uniform) :breakdance:
