I also think it is pretty sad. Black people who I have talked to said he is an embarrassment to their race.

Probably because he has a Mexican last name. America is weird. They can love a guy whose last name rhymes with Osama and middle name is Hussein, but they cant love Ocho Cinco.

I do recognize that that post reads funny (and not ha ha funny), but there's nothing to it besides what is there. When I heard the news I thought it was ridiculous. I couldn't believe a guy would legally change his name to something so silly. I'm assuming he's not married. Then, in work, race was brought up by black guys when I brought up the fact that Johnson changed his name. This is the 2nd time in a month where I got called out because people thought I was trying to stir up activity on the boards. This concerns me because in neither case was I trying to rile up people. I do that in baseball threads only.
