Another good showing by Fields will probably put him in conversation for #1 pick. As long as Fields plays great, it is a good thing for the Jets. Alabama opens the game as 7 points favorites as of today.
Some tweets from tonight to set up our Fields-watching heading into the game, though given that they still need to get an actual medical diagnosis, we may not even see him. Seems like a pretty reckless decision tonight by OSU, especially knowing that Fields is the ultimate gamer and would go along with it.
Looking forward to this. It kicks off at 01:15am UK time so it’s a bit of an all-nighter. Work can wait. I’m hoping for a strong performance from Fields as he is directly in our sights. If we get that it either makes the Jaguars #1 choice harder, strengthens our confidence in the #2 pick or increases potential trade value if JD decides to do something else. That’s win, win, win for our Jets.
Eh, I feel like Fields could be All-World tonight on one leg and Trevor Lawrence still will have that #1 spot locked up. If he/they wtf-stomp ‘Bama, then maybe
Trevor is the #1 pick no matter what happens tonight. Fields just enhances the trade value of the #2 IF that is the way JoeD is going. I still find it hard to believe that his draft order is pretty much set and that if by some chance Fields went 32 for 43 for 450 yards it wouldn't mean much.
Let's keep Ohio Thing going!! First the Browns came out shocked Steeler Nation Now it's OSUs turn to topple a Giant
Never been more torn between Fields and trade back. He can make up my mind tonight one way or another.
DeVonta Smith is one of those players where he just jumps off the screen every time he plays. I know Chase is the consensus #1 WR but Smith is special.
They're also missing their starting left tackle tonight too I believe along with 13 total players out with covid including their top two defensive lineman. This is going to be an Alabama slaughter.
I don't think Chase is really the consensus #1 anymore with Smith's year. I also think teams might honestly weigh taking the year off as a negative against the play. Definitely a bit of a mercenary move.
