Ok, now your contradicting your own point of the Jets even thinking about signing him. You know Mangini isn't going to put up with head-cases.
you just said he has no skils outside returning and speed again how did come to thiis conclusion? u seem to be the expert on him now he is a head case? because he and kubiak had a confrontation? going by this logic branch and javon walkers ,mike mckenzie, lavar arrington are all head cases?matter a fact i dont even care its late. im going to work peace.
Miller lacks skill at the CB position, he has trouble covering AND tackling. His struggles have been more his fault than the fault of a poor pass-rush.
Well, good...because he's not. That still doesn't excuse his individual poor play, though. Even the casual fan can see that Miller has awful cover skills. Having to constantly hold or "pass interfere" with WRs, getting beat by double moves, and his inability to stay with WRs through their routes are clear indications of that. Moreover, he whiffs on tackles way too much, and don't give me that "CBs aren't suppose to tackle" shit, either.
I don't understand how some of you people destroy Justin Miller since he "sucks" but yet at the same time make threads on Ahmad Carroll and now Phillip Buchanan... Unreal.
Are you sure they're the same exact people? Seems to me, the fans high on Miller are also geeked over "Batman" and Buchanon, while fans who think Miller sucks aren't very interested in those guys...which makes sense.
He's 22, and has started like 10 games in his career...But Jets fans rarely have patience... I'll wait until Year 3 to determine his play and hopefully get some tutelege from Mangini/Brown.
It really doesn't matter who he is. This is just another "oh, <insert-random-player-who-was-just-cut-here>, let's sign him" thread.
Where did I say that I'm not giving Justin Miller time to develop? Based on what hydro says about Buchanon (Fast, Good Kick-Returner), I compared him to Justin Miller. Both of which who have no coverage or tackling skills.
Hey Eric Barton was picked up from the raiders. He leads the team in tackles, that worked out pretty damn well
Apparently I'm not the only one who thinks so... http://forums.theganggreen.com/showpost.php?p=323122&postcount=24
Oh so you think because 10penn agrees with you, you're right? Miller is a great talent, but theres a difference between talent and just being an idiot. I think him getting burned is more on his head and knowlege of the game and tendencies of receivers than it is on his skill. Because its obvious to see he has great speed and quickness.
Don't worry, he's already unavailable. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/wire?section=nfl&id=2630014 The guy was a headcase to begin with, and a freelancer on the field. I doubt he would have worked within Mangini and Sutton's system.
That's not at all what I said. I just stated that I'm not the only one who agrees with that assumption.
