Did you guys forget 37-0 and 24-14? Since then: The Jets have gotten a lot better and the Bengals have gotten a lot worse. They still have to play the game, but this is not a game to worry about. (Besides the fact as fans, we worry about every game)
How have we gotten better? I would have agreed with you had we beaten the Texans 30-17 instead of 30-27.
Our QB was a weakness those 2 games, now is a strength. Better WR's with Holmes and Edwards comfortable in the system. LT on the team. Cromartie at #2 CB instead of Sheppard, etc.
You do realize that the Steeler who hit him played for the Jets? It wasn't a dirty hit either. It was an unfortunate hit but not dirty. I know that Kimo Von Olfahen was really upset about the play and spoke about it a few times. I do agree with you though, it looked like the Bengals finally found the guy they'd been searching for but sadly I think his best days are long behind him.
This is a prime spot for the Jets to blow somebody out. The Bills scored 41 of the last 44 points scored in that game. Primetime National TV and Thanksgiving plus we'll know what the Pats did. Throw in a ton on injuries on their side. We should absolutely destroy this team with or without Palmer.
I would think so and in fairness we thought that last year in Week 17 and it came true. But the pessismist in me says: (1) We should have blown out the Texans after they lost that crushing game to Jacksonville and almost blew the game to them. (2) Cincy will be primed to avenge the 2 (or 1, if you listen to some of them) losses last year. (3) TO will be pumped to beat Revis. (4) Our OL is hurting. (5) Carson Palmer can't be THIS BAD repeatedly -- can he ??? Hard to believe he was the best of the USC QB's the last decade and was primed to join the elite NFL QB club before that playoff injury in 2005.
The Bengals have a score to settle. That sweep of them last season has got to be fresh in their mouths. This will not be a walk in the park. If the Jets defense doesn't show up again we will be clenching our teeth.....again.
