Remember how we cut Corey Davis but signed both Lazard and Cobb who both were trash? Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk
this is the problem - the Jets brain trust seem to think that if Rodgers hadn't got injured the Jets would've been superbowl bound so to them it makes sense to go all in on 2024 given that 2023 was (in their fantasies) a superbowl quality year given our "championship roster"
Hey, at least there is a measurable return from Mosely. The guy plays his ass off and stayed healthy all season. I thought we finally were leaving Mosely alone here. He does as much as he can to be worth it
sorry I was just looking up the Jets salaries the other day to see how much was getting wasted on ARs mates and the Mosley figure kind of blew me away - I knew it was high but wow! Third highest paid LB in the league (and the highest paid ILB)
No apology necessary brother. Mosely got a lot of heat here a couple years back, so I stick up for him where I can. You were not knocking him. I don't blame the player for what they earn when they contribute as he does.
What we expect to get in free agency: 3-5 average to above average, middle career o-lineman at a reasonable price. What we'll actually get: 2 38 year old, injury riddled o-lineman at 10m/year for 3 years.
What's truly shocking is that when they signed him, he became the highest paid ILB in the league. He still is. How's THAT for an overpayment? I do agree that he plays hard and is seemingly a good leader, though. But the financial end is staggering. We're also stuck with him for an extra year because he opted out the covid year. And as luck, the Jets, and just general irresponsible moves go, it's right when we'll likely need to restructure and extend in order to gain immediate relief to help out. Just a complete mess.
