Redding gives up the HR. Manuel, of course, does not have Rodriguez up - he'll wait until at least the score is tied. There is no way that anyone other than Rodriguez should face Pujols (unless, of course, the Mets are already losing by then).
Wait...Correct me if I'm wrong. But Jon Switzer has royally sucked so far, no? What the fuck is this?
OK, he's bring in Stokes here, not K-Rod...I'm calling HR right now. Let's hope I'm wrong, but I really believe this one.
My blame is what is happening right now - that Pujols is coming up as the go-ahead run, and will be facing someone that (thanks to Manuel being a moron) has barely pitched for 3 weeks. The Mets desperately need this game. Rodriguez has not pitched in 3 days. He HAS to be facing Pujols right now.
THAT I agree with. I wouldn't have had him up that early though. Are you saying he'd have to be up at the beginning of the 8th to pitch to Pujols? Because if so, I didn't realize that, and Jerry's a moron. Why is that random guy up and not K-Rod? Never mind! Double play! Stokes saves the day! I knew that would happen (not really).
CBS gametracker is showing it as an out as first. It was a nice play, admittedly. Bottom 8th 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 R H E St. Louis 0 0 1 0 0 2 0 1 4 6 1 N.Y. Mets 2 0 0 1 1 1 0 0 5 12 0 Castillo grounded out to third. (95/fastball) HR: STL - R. Ludwick (11), B. Ryan (1) NYM - D. Murphy (5) 1st and 2nd, no one out. Reyes messed up the bunt. Should've posted earlier, but I'm watching: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/www-atdhe-net (ESPN feed)
