what im about to say has absolutely nothing to do with you, so dont take any of this as a shot or anything like that... but holy shit do i hate it when people say crap like this. are you kidding me? you really believe that idiocy? cause then i guess NOTHING would EVER get done, and NOBODY would EVER improve on anything. doing the same thing and expecting a different result is basically the only way to get better at what you do if you are making mistakes. so everyone that has ever done anything good, you are basically calling a idiot, cause you can bet for damn sure that nobody starts out perfect
We rated them about right at 9-7/10-6. Then Wayne Hunter got the starting RT job and Nick Mangold got hurt and Mark Sanchez began to regress under pressure. The Jets have now lost their last 3 games of the season two years running. Generally when that happens a couple of years in a row it takes a toll on the head coaches standing in the locker room. I'd go more into detail here but I don't want to turn this into yet another Sanchez thread. Suffice it to say that when a head coach makes bad choices at the QB position he is always at risk of losing the locker room.
I don't think you could ever hurt my feelings but I fully believe what I said was true in context to the post I responded to.
He wasn't brought in to win a SB in 2 years, he was brought in to change the culture and turn us from losers to winners which he did. I forgot he cost us Peyton too so we would have had peyton at QB and Belichick at HC long term if not for BP. Weeb won, Parcells did not get to a SB w/ us and as great as Weeb was he won a SB in a year where we were the 3rd best team in the AFL and essentially had a bye as teams 1 and 2 played each other then we hosted the title game needing one win to get to the SB. Is that in shoes? I tend to think it is overblown as well, it all came down to winning and the team was frustrated not going back to the playoffs so many things came out.
Did I miss something since I do not remember us winning the SB during RRs tenure which equals out to us being losers under him just like we have been with every coach since Ewbank
U must face the fact that MS cannot handle the pressure & folds like a cheap suit when it comes which is the reason he has all those INTs & fumbles
Google Ad Sense is going to have a field day with that pic, not to mention the activity it portrays is illegal in 49 states and the District of Colmbia.
^What's wrong with handling a whale penis? Maybe it's a medical thing. That's easy to say when you're sitting at home on your couch watching. Tanny was the one that committed us to Mark with that contract. The original plan was to have him start through 2013. Unfortunately he had a bad season last year, and we drafted Geno as a possible replacement. Rex did bench Sanchez twice. McElroy played an entire game and did virtually nothing. Rex wanted to give us the best chance to win, and that meant avoiding a banged up Tebow & McElroy. When you're committed to a guy for another year and a half via contract, the best action to to try to groom and motivate that guy. People fault Rex, but you honestly believe Tebow or Greg would have led us to victory over the Seahawks? Now if Mark was still on that original contract, chances are we would have moved on from him earlier in the year. Why are people afraid to hold our offensive coaches accountable? It's because people just want to blindly blame Rex for everything. We didn't have another viable option besides Mark last year. This year we do.
What a funny turn of events. TGA fucks up an Einstein quote. TNJet looks the real quote up and finds a bunch of other Einstein quotes. TNJet becomes an expert on Einstein quotes.
I absolutely agree that the talent has declined , and I partly blame REX for that also, as I'm sure he had input into some of the ridiculous contracts that TANNS gave out (like SANCHEZ and HARRIS etal.), that have basically gutted this team and its ability to acquire NFL level talent. However, the production has been declining fo the past 3 years yet REX continues to back the worst staring QB in the NFL and I can only assume this is due to his complete lack of offensive football. The time management has consistently been a problem but I'm willing to admit that some of this is (or most) is caused by the USC stalwart at QB. Pete must have never taught clock management, ro Sanchez was sleeping, at USC!
You are correct. Rex still takes credit for Martin Lewis' DC job winning that Super Bowl. Rex was an assistant that year.
For modern Jet fans, apparently getting to the AFC championship game is as good as winning the SB. For those Jet fans who actually remember when we really won a SB against the supposed best team of the century that was & will always be BS.
Wow finally someone who understands like me that winning the SB is why they play the games. In NY Junc head because he deals only in coulda, woulda, shouldas the NYJs have already won 15 SBs since SB3. I also 100% agreee with U that rex must go.
When you look at Jets history as a whole, the only thing that comes close to back to back AFC title games, is winning super bowl 3. If you were really a Jets fan you'd know that. There were plenty of terrible eras and compared to them we have been in a much better spot since we hired Rex.
