One of the thoughts I can't seem to get out of my mind is this debate I've been having with myself about whether or not I'd prefer us to be up or down (within a few points or one TD) at the half.

Pro's to being up - I doubt we blow a lead under Rex 2 years in a row in this game.
Cons to being up - As I recall, we've lost every AFCC I've been alive for after leading at halftime.

Boy RM, thats me in a nutshell. I can remember watching the game last year with my son and he had this big smile on his face with us up...and I just had that same ole jet feeling before and during the game.

This year, after the 2 wins and who they were against, is so much different the night before the big one. Im walking around the house like a little kid...rereading articles I have read during the day today.

I have the menu ready for tomorrow...cooking begins at halftime of the first game. Firewood ready...fire to be lit at kickoff of the Packer/Bear game too. Thats all thats going through my head...gameplan for the day.

We will win...we will get to the Superbowl. I believe it for the first time in my life with no doubt.

Damn, was starting to think I was the only one who couldn't sleep. Same thing happened to me before the Colts and Patriot games, couldn't sleep. It doesn't bother me because I have Sundays off from work & know I'll fall asleep around 8 or 9. I'll get that power rest in me, and wake up around 2.

Wake up, cook some eggs with cheese, little salt and pepper, fry up some bacon and sausage, toast and butter up a bagel (just like I've done the previous two weeks) and get ready for the Packers-Bears game.

Once the Packers-Bears game gets under way, I'll be ok after that, because time will start to fly. My older brother will get here right before kick off with some Segrams 7 & 7, then it's time to BBQ some bacon cheese burgers, throw some ribbs on the grill during the Bears-Packers halftime, drink some more, munch on some chips and dip, drink some more... Then let the 6:30 count down begin.

    Thats the plan! CANT WAIT!

I was a Seagrams guy too...switched to Canadian Club as I got older..try it..much smoother. Sounds like a great gameplan HFJ.

It's early yet. I'm hoping the thread of the day will be along the lines of, "holy sh*t, we're going to dallas", but thanks.

I've got a friend bringing some jager over, already loaded up on beer, only whiskey in the house is scotch..Johnnie black. I imagine i'll save that for if we win. I might actually make an Alabama line run at noon, since they have liquor sales on Sundays after 12pm there..it's a Wild Turkey occasion.

There was something funny about last year,

It was the whole we beat the Colts and we would have beaten them had they not pulled Manning onto the Bengals didn't care onto Graham missed all those FG's onto Keading missed all those FGs.

This year is different, sure we hit a swoon in early December but something is different after the last two weeks. Rex set the gameplans perfectly and I see another one.

It's odd but my 1st game was in 1985. The stars are aligning. Now hear me out

We finished 11-5 just like this year
split with Phins (losing to them by 4)
    Pats
    Beat Buffalo twice
    Beat Colts (twice)

That season we also played and beat the Bengals and Browns. We beat the Packers (who we lost to this year) and lost to the Lions who we played on Thanksgiving which we played on this year.

Now here is where it gets cool, we lost to the Bears that season in week 15 (which in 1985 was the 15th game). This year we also lost to the Bears in game 15. The Bears went on to win the Super Bowl that year which should they win tomorrow they will be playing in. Now who was the defensive coordinator of that Bears team? Buddy Ryan!!!

Now our season ended prematurely in 1985 when we somehow lost to the Pats at home in the playoffs.

Now obviously all of this means jack shit and I'm stretching for a reason to look for something that isn't there but it was fun.

Oh and one more thing about 1985... it was also Rich Miano's rookie year with the Jets!!!

Haha, good one. Here's what you're missing:

We beat GB in 1985, they beat us this year.
We beat the Pats at their house in the post season in 2010.
Odds are, we face GB in the superbowl 2/6/2011, to beat them once.

If we beat them, there's as close to finding something out of nothing there as I can get for you, and this seasons entire purpose was to validate "RICHMIANALO"'s rookie game season.

How about if you add 02/06/2011 together you get 12 which divided by 2 equals 6 or the number of playoff wins by Rex and Sanchez over the last two seasons.

    Yes!

    OR

12 was Joe Namath's number, Namath of course being our last champion. Divide it by 2 and you have Sanchez (6), our second champion, AND the number of playoff wins by Rex and Sanchez over the last two seasons.
