Well it's either be positive and excited about the upcoming changes on our team, or pout whine and complain for the next 5 months. I know which one I'm doing. Schotty is gone, that warrants celebration.
And the most reasonable position to take is the "show me" position. Let your emotions rise or fall based on what the team actually does (or does not do) and react to that instead of wishful thinking.
That was part of the sarcasm and tongue in cheek nature of my post. Of course it's impossible. In reality, it feels more like 100 years, but of course, it's only 48 years.
I am wearing the green colored glasses because we no longer employee Brian. How can it not be great being a Jets fan knowing that our OC is going out to St. Louis to regress their offense? Go JETS!!!!
I think the main thing here is that we all look at the original poster and acknowledge him, because he hasn't been getting the attention that he craves.
Wrong. I rarely start a thread. I was just so sick and tired of reading the hundreds of "chicken little" "the sky is falling" " the world is ending" threads on this board after a SB that every Jets fan with half a brain knew was a no-win situation the minute Tynes' FG went through the uprights in SF two weeks ago. This game didn't change anything since then, or after the Jets season ended at 8-8. But to read thread after thread from 10 pm on about how this game somehow sealed the Jets fate as perpetual losers and second class citizens was too much to take. These two weeks sucked for Jets fans, but this SB has no greater bearing on the Jets' future than any of the past 42 Super Bowls the Jets didn't win. The only thing that matters is how the Jets organization handles the offseason and the preseason and the 2012 season, not who hoisted the Lombardi trophy last night.
Be prepared because the worst is in front of U maybe. Here is a glimpse of the future After a dreadful 2012 season RR is not renewed & we get a new HC for the 2013 season The new HC guts the team & the coaches After 3 6-10 years or worse years that HC is canned Now we have a another new HC & the cycle begins again just as I wrote above So the horizon out there says at least the 2013 thru 2023 will be a losing period for us which means in 2023 we will be saying 53 years & still counting
You're right. Logically it the best position to take, although my optimism isn't really based on emotion. I'm just positive in general about things, because to me, negativity is wasted energy. I see Sanchez spreading his wings and flying next season. I see Schotty gone, I see potential and I'm interested to see where things progress from here. Yes, that's how football works. How you draw your conclusion that Rex is gone after next year or how we're destined for 10 years of losing, boggles the mind, however.
Hey champion, do you consider yoursself an optimist or a pessimist? Kinda hard to tell from your post.
