This is why we can't have nice things. As shoddy as the HC situation has been this year it's technically Bowles first bad season. Nobody worth a damn is going to want to coach here if the fan base is putting up billboards the moment the team isn't doing well.
Because I would have looked even more crazy for saying this about a rookie head coach. Collectively a lot of people had some issues with him last season. However, 10-6 makes some of those issues irrelevant. Now we have to play decent teams this season and Bowles falls flat on his face. Rather than being semi-inept and winning, he is TOTALLY inept and putting out a shit performance every single week.
I agree a little. I've just seen more intensity out of a chihuahua than I have out of Bowles. That really says something, he has no passion or emotion and it's a direct reflection of this teams performance.
oh, don't get me wrong here. I don't like what I've seen from him this season. If they don't fire him, he should at the very least be on the fired mid season 2017 hit list. I'm not so worried about his outward passion as I am his emotionally weak stances on what's going on. Ask him about who's the backup and he gets upset, his two best defensive linemen require a 1st quarter benching, refuses to sit a player that's playing beyond terrible, etc, etc,etc. We should voice our displeasure with what he's doing and question all of his stupid coaching but the billboard thing is just going to dirty up the position for the next guy.
his ineptness has not decreased, he is the same coach he was last year just with a below average qb situation, injuries on the o line and a fading star cb. the team overachieved last year and is just a bit below where they should be expected to be due to injuries. only people upset are the ones who thought this was anything more than an 8-8 team at best. the person who should get more heat is mac for not having the balls to know/admit that fitz was fools gold and went full on with the youth movement this year.
I knew that this team was 6-10 to 8-8 at best this season. Our schedule was brutal. I'm upset because Bowles has made ZERO second half adjustments, he holds onto TO like no tomorrow, and he has shown no balls what so ever.

As alluded to, earlier in this thread, do you realize how unappealing a second firing because of a billboard makes this franchise appear? After the owner hired two great known football minds to make this selection? Another billboard and we might as well call ourselves the Browns. It wreaks of disaster. I'm not a big Bowles fan, but unless a Tomlin/McCarthy type of coach shakes free we might as well roll with the punches for another year with this guy. Who are you hiring if Tomlin, McCarthy and Mediocrity Marvin [Lewis] all stay put?

Bowles was a product of Arians and hasn't proved shit in two years other than being incompetent. He's supposed to be a "defensive mind" but our defense looks worse than it has in 10 years.
