Really, it is all quite simple: we go down 0-17 early in the game to a very good Saints team due to M. Sanchez's 2 very costly errors. It happens and it is bound to happen to a rookie at some point with the speed in which these guys play. Now, take it all into account and the gameplans of both teams drastically changed course on all sides of the ball when we were down 0-17. Jets-O; somewaht more conservative; try not to make more mistakes Jets-D; stop them and make a play to see if we can get back into the game NO-D; keep the pressure coming and take more chances with blitz's NO-O; don't try to do too much; let the gamre come to you
Mark's pick6 was awful. Look at the replay. two receivers in the same spot with Woodson in between them, close enough to touch either. His strip sack in the EZ was awful as well. Ande..when Dumbdoof is pointing out that you're getting mugged twice a quarter, it's probably happening. That said... We got outplayed in the offensive trench yesterday...and it showed. But...that's game planning as well. Lets just take it out on the Dolphags.
Much as any loss stinks, I came out of yesterday's game with "glass half full" optimism. And props to visiting Saints fans--enjoyed your perspectives as well.
