the primary problem w/the ledge jumpers is that they dont jump off the ledge...they just stand at the edge whining, crying, complaining and screaming about how the sky is falling and we face certain doom...but then they don't do the honorable thing and jump. Please ledge jumping doom & gloom sojfs - just JUMP!!!! go root for another team!!! why waste your time on this disaster - JUMP, Leave, its the armegedon, the sky is fallling, surrender all hope....run for your lives !!! go become giants/eagles/bills/pats fans - go, leave, jump - get out of here while the getting is good!!

    THAT'S ITS FUCKING PRESEASON!!!

If we have solid individual performances then that's all that matters.

    I say again.

Fixed just to put this in perspective.

Plus there's Laron Landry who's a beast! I would have loved if we could have landed Nelson, but Bell is experienced and knows the game. Miami did not have a Revis either and both him and Cromartie are better than all Miami CBs. I think Landry will the one to stick it to Gronk this year, but Davis may play a role as well. I like that idea.

All I know about this year is I'm really excited for the D. It's got the potential to be deadly. We could seriously be looking much closer to #1. I also think this year will be the official emergence of Mark Sanchez. Young guys will have to step up. The line must be solid. Howard needs to take Hunter's jerb and everything will be in place.

I completely agree with the OP.

This board is filled with a bunch of whiny bitchmade SOJF faggots.

God help us if we lose Week One... this board will become absolutely unbearable and unvisitable.

Only if you're laying open-crotched beneath me, sexy. Let's do the helicopter scissor slam. It'll be so romantic, just like that time in Jamaica.

Agree with the OP. We have geniuses on here proclaiming the season dead after one preseason game or even before camp starts. Whine and complain about the FO when they have put this team in position to compete every year.

Over the last 4 years the Jets are one of only 9 NFL teams to not have a season below .500. NE, NO, Pit, Bal, Atl, NYG, Phil and SD are the only other clubs which have not.

Including playoffs the Jets have the 9th best winning % in the NFL over the last 4 years. NE .724, PIT, .704, NO .700, BAL .671, GB .647, ATL .641, NYG .623, PHI .586, NYJ .585, SD .582, Indy .579. There are 10 SB titles amongst this group.

2 deep playoff runs and 8-5 and 8-3 records in the other 2 years set up to do some damage but those teams fell apart down the stretch with Favre's injury and chemistry issues. This FO has had the team in position to take the next step for awhile now. Obviously not over the hump yet but there are scholars on here who think this regime should be replaced and we should start over again which means you can kiss a SB goodbye for another 3-4 years with new management.

The reality of the situation is that this team has a defense that will consistently rank in the top quarter of the league as long as Rex is here. They are trying to get a young QB with some promise to elevate his game and take the next step to carry the offense more and he has shown flashes of that ability. No guarantees of anything but history shows if you have some long term success and are in the hunt most years you will eventually have the ball bounce your way and you will get there and finally win one. This FO is keeping this team in the picture and the whiners and complainers who are declaring a season over before it starts are clueless.

Look im not calling this season dead, I believe every NFL team has a chance every single season. I just dont think the Jets have been agressive as they have been over the past couple years in improving this team, for the sole reason that they want money to carry over for 2013. Woody would fap in his pants if the Jets got to the Super Bowl in the Meadowlands. The hype would be through the roof if any NFL team ever represented their own Super Bowl. If you don't think Woody has asked the front office whats the plan for 2013 then you are a fool, because Woody knows if the Jets made that Super Bowl then it would just be unreal with the amount of coverage and hype in NY.

Silver lining: With the Jets just a C-hair from becoming the dominating team all fans hope for, perhaps Tanny brought in Tebow for just the results every talking head is predicting...a 1-15 season.

THEN......Tanny uses the 1st overall pic in the 2013 draft to grab the TOP QB KILLING MACHINE at outside LB (aka a 22 yr old Lawrence Taylor), then in round 2 drafts the next Ray Lewis to play along side Harris, then in round 3 trades down to steal the next Troy Polamalu to patrol the middle, then in round 4 moves up to grab the next Adrian Peterson, then swaps 5th round pics plus Wayne Hunter in a trade with NE for the Gronk, then finishes off by trading next years 6th and 7th round pics with Cleavland to steal the next Jake Long and convert him to RT.

This could VERY LIKELY HAPPEN, and I'd bet your wife's vagina that at least 27.3 fans on TGG would want Tanny fired for not upgrading our Punter!

well i admit i am as much a ledge wanderer as the next guy/gal - especially after 38 years of bleeding green....

seen it all from matt robinson to tim tebow....

for me the next 2 games - starter versions - will go a long way in preparing for the regular season. i need to see some stout play along both off and def lines against the opposition. if we can man up then we'll be competitive.

if not u can bet i'll be the first one calling for 6-10.

No it is filled with people who live in NYJ dreamland.

Unless they win the SB at the end of season there record since inception will be 1 winning season & 51 losing seasons since there inception

Why do U not explain to ALL of us how U see us overtaking the Pats this season
