Come on, you're smarter than that. You know how horrible the Jets secondary was. You know that most Jets fans love Revis, that Revis wanted to come back to the Jets, and that it hurt the Pats for him to sign with us. You know that Bowles' D is dependent upon a great shut-down CB. You also know that few, if any, teams in the NFL do a traditional 5-year rebuild any more. They all refer to it as "retooling". They try to be as competitive as they can be while they're turning over their roster. You also know that if Mac had the Jets in "win now" mode that the moves he made in the draft would have been very different last year. He wouldn't have just taken the BPA (Williams), when he had holes and needs. He would have taken a player at a position of need. He also wouldn't have traded up for Petty in the 4th. He would have addressed the OL or taken a player who could have helped us sooner. He probably would have taken a punter.
