I'm honestly not sure how good he is. Dallas didn't even keep him to play nickle. OK, I will give you Adams mainly because he would start as a first round player.
With an offense that could be an all-time worst at WR the possibility of going o for the season increased dramatically once Enunwa went down but this defense is good enough to steal a game or two of those typical 5-3, 9-6 barn burner type games we've seen them win over the years. I don't think anyone here would be surprised if they beat Buffalo, Miami or Cleveland even with this awful team they have this year. If its the typical Jets... in a 3 QB draft they'll pick 4th by going 5-11 by winning a meaningless last game of the year. I'm hoping for an atypical tank so they get a top 3 pick.
I would agree with you- our DBs were atrocious. You have to believe that Adams and Maye are going to be an upgrade over Pryor and Gilchrist, as well as Claiborne over Revis. To answer your question- talent on the defensive side of the ball consists of Wilkerson(if he plays to potential) Big Cat- who is a stud- Sheldon Richardson former defensive rookie of the year. Jamal Adams hasn't played a real NFL snap- but everything points that he is going to be an above average player. Demario Davis started on the Browns- I know it is the Browns- but most of our starters would start on another team- you make it seem like our defense is similar to our offense. If you made that same comment " I can only name two maybe three players who would start on another team" for the offensive side of the ball- there is more of an argument there.
jesus fucking christ has it really come to this? Why did I ever root for this team my father is a giants fan
I would be surprised if they beat Miami even though they are going with Cutler they still have a good team. They won 10 games last year. They might beat Buffalo at home but I wouldn't bet on it. The Bills don't have Rex and his brother there to screw things up anymore . I could see them beating the Browns though. Any way you look at it this is going to be a long year.
Being a Jets fan is a curse, but I've always maintained that if the Jets ever manage to win a championship, it will be the greatest thing of all time. This season is going to suck, but there may be some light at the end of the tunnel.
well, let's be serious 160 points averages to 10 a game - that's fair.. That light you see is the gates of hell.
The bills have been screwing things up long before Rex and rob got there, I'd expect that trend to continue now they have gone
As I'm checking our schedule, I think the only real question is whether we can beat Bills, Jaguars or Browns and that's it.
Our D will probably get us 1-2 wins. I want us to get #1 pick but def hoping we avoid 0-16, which is an ignominious distinction to say the least. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
A new name for this bunch of so called Jets fans - Negative Nellies. No way this team goes win-less - reasons being: This Defense is too good not to win at least 2-3 games. This years backs and safeties are big improvements over last years bunch. Fitzpatric was just plain horrible in 2016 - can the QB performance be worse? Possibly but I doubt it because I think Hack will make great strides as the season progresses. A combination of TE/RB formations will ease the pressure of the young WR's. JMO, just like those that think this team sucks, though not deep in talent, injuries can play a big part. If no injuries, this team could win 5-6 games. Sorry to disappoint all you 2018 draftniks.
Then once the Patriots have a 3 score lead start taking knees & running down the clock all 4 downs..forget the punt all together!
we have question marks at the following positions: QB OL TE WR RB LB CB HC can you blame us for thinking that this team is not going to have a good year?
Possibly. If they get out of the first 5 games at 0-5, it's very likely. I think we'll win 1 or 2 of them though. Call me an optimist for once if you disagree. I still don't think we win more than 3 or 4 total for the year, however.
I don't understand why people keep saying the qb's can't be worse this year. With the talent we have on offense I don't see how it could be better.
