This is actually pretty brilliant, and would absolutely work against a spread offense like the one the Pats run.
You're right, losing the best WR of the last 20 years is no big deal at all. Danny Woodhead more than makes up for his absence.
If Revis is covering Welker, the Pats Offense can't afford to eliminate Welker from the game by having him run pointless routes -- not against this Defense. If they choose to employ that tactic, I'll gladly accept it. Good luck to them relying on Branch and the two TEs to hang 30 points on our other 10 Defensive players.
I think the correct answer is, He is Tom Brady bitch or is it Tom Brady is a bitch...... I forget how that goes.
More like, can all the rookie and 2nd year players on the pats handle the pressure of this game? These guys are green and never played in a game like this. No one is mentioning that. These aren't the crafty veteran battle tested pats of their superbowl runs
I say this: you disrupt him, pressure him, knock him around.... he's fucked. I say it because I watch him and he tries to act as though he is concentrating the whole game trying to find an edge, but if it doesnt come, he kinda "quits". I really think that if you fuck him up, I mean REALLY take the game away from him, then they crumble....
funny thing about that is last years outcomes don't determine this year's outcomes. I know, I was shocked when I found out too.
On a sidenote, if you told a Pats fan after their last Super Bowl championship that the only time Brady would ever be able to get one would be after he received hair plugs...they would have laughed at you right?
Maybe we should fake like we're blitzing too, but drop everyone into coverage. Let's see if Brady can beat us with his arm. Right, soxxx? By the way, do you know if it'll snow or not? I heard it might be cold too. Ah, whatevers. I'm not inbred?
I love how everyone is concerned about how we're going to attack this "new" Patriot offense and Bart Scott came right out and said "We're going to do what we always do", then grinned. You can't not go after Brady. That's just common sense.
