but, again, your argument depends 100% on the concept that the rape accusations are the only thing that could warrant a suspension and since they are not proven he shouldn't have been suspended for them. that isn't the case. there are other behaviors/acts that he is accused of in the situation which eyewitnesses can attest to that can warrant a suspension, and apparently did. why she backed down from the charges is irrelevant because the suspension could have not had anything to do with the actual charge of rape.
right, i'll ask it another way, i've not been a part of your argument, so please refrain from being surly. if someone video tapes an nfl player picking up a prostitute, that player isn't caught by the police and no charges of solicitation are charged, are they in violation of the Personal Conduct Policy? More importantly however, the question is, do you think they should or should not be penalized?
are you serious? the commissioner can rule on the appropriateness of behavior independent of the legality. it doesn't have to be illegal to warrant a suspension. the suspension of a player isn't a legal issue unless that suspension violates their civil rights or labor laws. your entire argument is dependent on the flawed position of trying to make it reliant on the law. it isn't. he may have been suspended for any numerous other behaviors he committed that night or over multiple periods that the commissioner decided warranted a suspension.
Wrong. This proves that you haven't read the majority of my posts or thought about anything I said with any critical reasoning at all. I have made it abundantly clear that A) I fully understand that the rape charges aren't necessarily the central issue pertaining to the suspension and B) why I think the suspension was a bad idea, in part, because of this very fact.
Of course he CAN rule on the 'appropriateness', but the poster I was replying to didn't write anything about 'appropriateness' he wrote about LEGALITY (i.e. he used the word ILLEGAL) Seriously, reading comprehension is very important.
the fact that you are disputing the suspension on the basis of the lack of rape charges inherently disputes your assertion. your argument is repeatedly about the rape charges, even though the rape charges can be irrelevant to the suspension.
it isn't a legal issue! the only one who has a comprehension problem is you because you don't grasp that. his suspension isn't a criminal matter. the fact that you continue to attempt to confuse it as such reveals your inability to grasp the situation or you are simply being dishonest to defend your flawed argument. has the NFL charged him with a crime? have they imprisoned him? no. they have acted in accordance to their own granted powers.
Are you high? I wasn't referring to him not quoting me. I was referrring to you ignoring the crux of my argument either because you didn't read all of my posts or you are not capable of comprehending the the arguments made in them.
Agreed, and couple that with the fact that they conducted an independent investigation that lasted over a month and its plain to see that this was an objectively evaluated decision.
For the billionth time, I am well aware that his suspension is NOT a legal matter. How dense are you?? I was replying to the poster who used LEGALITY as a point of emphasis. Stop taking things out of context. And you STILL haven't refuted anything I have written.
I have, you just refuse to acknowledge them lest you admit how ridiculous your argument is. what I haven't acknowledge is simply your attempt to continue to confuse the issue and is irrelevant and not worth responding to.
at this point it should either be closed or merged with the one in the NFL forum. calvin pace has long been removed from discussion.
Snatch Catch, theBidet, and JetBlue, I have made recommendations to the mods that you guys be suspended from posting for at least the first six games of the NFL season due to your rape of slimjasi in this thread.
